USF is committed to an affordable education for all students. Over 98% of first-year students receive some type of financial aid at USF, with numerous scholarships and grants available. For those who meet admission criteria, academic awards and scholarships range from $1,000 to full tuition per year.
In addition to offering a number of study abroad opportunities, USF welcomes international students from more than 20 countries. They enrich USF classroom experiences with their unique, global perspectives and thrive on our quaint campus, in small classes, getting the personal attention all students need to succeed.




USF operates three campuses in Joliet. The Main Campus has been at the heart of Joliet’s historic Cathedral Area for more than 100 years. Just a few miles away, the St. Clare Campus houses the Leach College of Nursing. The downtown St. Bonaventure Campus includes modern Art & Design facilities and an art gallery. A shuttle service conveniently connects them and gets students to their classes right on time.








Over 400 student-athletes on 22 teams have earned USF four NAIA national championships. The Fighting Saints excel on the playing field and in the classroom, boasting a 3.31 cumulative GPA annually. With athletic scholarships available for many students, it pays to play!

USF’s LaVerne & Dorothy Brown Science Hall contains cutting-edge labs, interactive classrooms, and open study spaces. Students learn in small classes with faculty who work alongside them in disciplines like biology and biochemistry, with a host of pre-professional medical concentrations for those interested in pursuing a career in those fields. Science students can also explore and conduct research at USF’s Charlotte Codo Prairie in Frankfort, Illinois.

USF’s College of Education has been preparing students to become excellent teachers since 1925. USF is committed to providing engaging, top-quality education courses, designed to meet the challenges that face today’s educators. With field experiences early in the program, our students are prepared and ready to lead elementary and secondary classrooms as soon as they graduate from USF.
USF has educated generations of skilled nurses who have important roles in hospitals and clinics across the country. In USF’s Leach College of Nursing, you will receive an exceptional, rigorous nursing education in sleek facilities, preparing you to be a competent clinician and an advocate for your patients.
You can also work in health care by pursuing a Health Administration degree from USF’s College of Business & Health Administration, or following an allied health path through College of Arts & Sciences programs like Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Histology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiation Therapy.
