ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE IN YOUR COMMUNITY The Master of Arts in Learning and Teaching (MALT) degree blends a master's in education with a teaching credential to prepare you for Pre-K-12 teaching upon graduation. An innovative, equity-based program integrating research and practice, the MALT curriculum addresses new approaches that respond to the complexities of teaching in the modern world. The curriculum builds expertise from theory and inquiry to action, with challenging and rewarding coursework that is accented by full-time student teaching in a school placement. Students in the MALT program gain knowledge of fundamental teaching methods in instructional design and foundations of learning in order to better serve their own future students.

CREDENTIAL OPTIONS ** Multiple Subject Prepares students to teach usually in an elementary school Offered in-person in Fall, Spring and Summer Single Subject Prepares students to teach in a secondary school setting Offered in-person in Fall, Spring, and Summer

Education Specialist Prepares students to teach mild to moderate special education students in Pre-K-12 settings up to age 22 Capstone experience: intensive student teaching and portfolio presentation Offered in-person and online in Fall, Spring, and Summer

Dual: Multiple Subject & Education Specialist Students earn both the Multiple Subject and Education Specialist credential Offered in-person in Fall, Spring, and Summer

Dual: Single Subject & Education Specialist Students earn both the Single Subject and Education Specialist credential Offered in-person in Fall, Spring, and Summer

* Multiple fieldwork options are available. Fieldwork hours vary with each credential option. **Credential options are available without the MALT. Modalities may differ.
