What drew me to Brighton was a mix of curiosity and a desire for a unique adventure. The university offered a diverse range of courses and I found one that perfectly aligned with my interests. The idea of living by the sea while having a lively city at my doorstep made Brighton seem like the perfect place to start this new chapter.

I think as an international student, having UK work experience is paramount. I’ve learned far more than I could’ve imagined [on my placement year]. I’ve actually just signed an offer letter for full-time, permanent employment with my placement employer, which is very exciting!

THINGS TO DO

I chose Brighton because although I loved studying in London while doing my undergraduate degree, I was looking forward to being in a smaller city.

There are lots of things to see, do and experience in Brighton – from theatre, comedy and music to food, the arts and many different festivals. The city also hosts lots of sporting events and is home to Premier league football team Brighton & Hove Albion FC, whose stadium is next to our Falmer campus.
