Apprenticeships are a core part of Highlands College, where students combine real-world experience with expert teaching to help them succeed in their chosen trades and develop their skills, confidence and professionalism. Events such as the PanIsland Skills Competition showcases the talent of the Highlands' apprentices and provides a valuable opportunity for learners to compete and learn alongside peers from the Isle of Man and Guernsey.
The Guernsey Institute (TGI) offers access to a wide range of further and higher education opportunities. From full-time courses to apprenticeships, from adult education to masters qualifications, the breadth of the curriculum provided helps cater for the needs of anyone in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which also includes Alderney, Herm, and Sark.
Apprenticeships form a fundamental part of TGI's delivery programme, combining paid work with expert practical training, allowing learners to earn money, develop skills, and gain recognised professional qualifications. This competition is the perfect platform for TGI's apprentices to take on new challenges, showcase their skills and learn from apprentices from the other islands.
