Philosophy + Theology
Do you ask life's big questions? Do you seek to understand human beings, the world, and the meaning of life? Are you interested in the dialogue between science, reason, and faith? This double degree brings together two forms of knowledge that have shaped history: philosophical reason and theological reflection. Through them, you will learn to think rigorously, engage with great ideas, and open yourself to the fundamental questions that have always accompanied human beings.
You will explore Philosophy—anthropology, ethics, metaphysics, logic, and theory of knowledge—and Theology—the Bible, Church history, moral theology, spirituality, and dogmatics—while understanding how the two disciplines engage in dialogue and enrich one another. You will also receive training in classical languages—Latin, Greek, and Hebrew—allowing you to access the original sources of philosophical and theological thought directly. You will develop the ability to express complex ideas clearly, argue rigorously, debate respectfully, and engage in dialogue with people from different cultures, traditions, and beliefs.
