Founded in 1964, the University of Navarra School of Architecture was the first private school of architecture in Spain. Today, with more than 60 years of experience, it is the country's third-oldest school of architecture, preparing professionals with an international outlook, creative vision, and strong commitment to society.

A BUILDING DESIGNED FOR CREATION
The School is housed in a building designed by its own faculty and purpose-built for the way architecture and design are taught and learned. Learning is project-based, with learning by doing at the core of the educational approach. The building itself becomes an active learning environment, where ideas are developed, tested, discussed, and brought to life. – The classroom This is where you will acquire the knowledge, technical tools and theoretical foundations that will enable you to understand architecture and design from a critical, cultural and professional perspective. – The studio The heart of the School. An open, dynamic, and collaborative environment where students design, discuss, and create alongside their peers. Here, architecture and design are learned through practice—in studios alive with the constant rhythm of models, sketches, conversations, and shared ideas. – The laboratory Where ideas become reality. Equipped with specialized machinery and materials—3D printers, laser cutters, a milling machine, large-format printing and tools for wood and metal—it enables material experimentation and the development of prototypes and models.

National and international academic stays and workshops give students the opportunity to experience outstanding examples of architecture and design firsthand, explore new approaches to the discipline, and broaden their global perspective. During the past academic year, students traveled to Copenhagen, Helsinki, Rome, Paris, Eindhoven, and Milan. The School also offers international exchange opportunities with more than 30 partner universities across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.

FROM THE INDUSTRY TO THE CLASSROOM
Teaching is closely connected to professional practice. Many faculty members combine their academic careers with active work in architecture, design, and research, bringing current industry experience into the classroom. Together with renowned guest architects and designers, they connect students with the realities of professional practice through workshops, design projects, lectures, and critiques.

01. LEARNING FROM REALITY
The School promotes education connected to professional practice through projects developed together with companies, institutions and public authorities. Students work on real challenges and cases, developing proposals with a direct impact on their surroundings. In this context, CT Labs turn cities and rural territories into real laboratories in which students address the challenges of urban growth, depopulation and the transformation of contemporary habitats. Some of these projects respond directly to real problems and provide useful solutions for society, such as rural development in regions of Galicia undergoing depopulation, reconstruction proposals following the eruption of the La Palma volcano, and projects addressing the effects of climate change in villages affected by the DANA floods.

The Degree in Design at the University of Navarra provides a comprehensive education that combines creativity, technical expertise, and strategic thinking.

01. PREPARING DESIGNERS CAPABLE OF TRANSFORMING REALITY Students' education is developed through four essential dimensions:
– Creativity Students learn to develop innovative solutions, cultivate their own design perspective, and tackle complex projects by integrating functional, social, cultural, and aesthetic considerations. Design Studio courses play a central role in this process, helping students strengthen their ability to conceive, develop, and communicate design projects. – Technique Creativity becomes meaningful when it is supported by technical knowledge. The programme provides a strong foundation in technical skills and design methodologies, enabling students to understand production processes, master a wide range of tools, and develop innovative, feasible solutions. This technical expertise is developed through the Integration courses, as well as courses focused on form, image, materials, and techniques. – Culture Design Culture courses explore how design has responded to the needs of different societies and historical periods, equipping students with the critical thinking, cultural awareness, and intellectual foundations needed to create thoughtful, responsible, and well-informed design solutions. – Projects with impact Students engage with real-world challenges, investigating specific contexts and developing design solutions that have a meaningful impact on people, organizations, and the environment.

02. ONE DEGREE, THREE PATHWAYS
The Bachelor's Degree in Design begins with a cross-disciplinary curriculum that provides students with a solid foundation in creativity, design culture, technical knowledge, and project development. During the first two years, students acquire the core skills and perspectives needed to approach design from multiple angles. From the third year onwards, students progressively shape their academic and professional profile by choosing one of the School's three specialization pathways, allowing them to explore specific areas of contemporary design in greater depth. – Product Design Focused on designing human-centred products, furniture, and systems that combine creativity, functionality, industrial expertise, and outstanding user experiences. – Fashion Design Focused on fashion design, exploring the creation of collections through identity, materials, trends, and brand communication. – Service Design Focused on the design of human-centred experiences, services, and strategies, applying research, innovation, and user experience methodologies to address business and social challenges. In the fourth year, students complete their education through elective subjects and content related to strategy, business, communication and management, culminating in the development of the Final Degree Project.
