WHO GB GLOBAL ISN’T GB Global is not a replacement for individual companies and brands – it connects them. It is the structure that links a diverse pool of businesses as one coordinated group. Each company remains distinct, now clearly positioned as part of a larger global group. WHY GB GLOBAL EXISTS The group has grown through investment, expansion and acquisition. Over time, a diverse international portfolio of expert businesses has emerged, collectively spanning the full lifecycle of global trade and supply chains. collection of separate companies, it is now visible as a coordinated group with complementary capabilities spanning the full supply chain.

GB Global provides that collaboration with a clear, recognisable identity.

Unlike many competitors, GB Global owns and operates its own assets – vessels, trucks, warehouses and more – providing greater control, reliability and value for customers across the group.

GROUP STRATEGY AND EXPANSION

DROP X: BUILDING AMERICA’S LARGEST OUT OF HOME DELIVERY NETWORK The US logistics market is approaching a major shift. While out-of-home (OOH) delivery has become well established across Europe, the United States still relies heavily on home delivery and fragmented drop off solutions. Drop X is a new out of home delivery and returns platform, formed as a 50/50 joint venture between Pro Carrier and SpeedX. The business has been purposebuilt to establish the largest and most accessible OOH parcel network in the United States. It will begin with returns and expand quickly into a full national delivery infrastructure. A Strategic Joint Venture Built for Scale The partnership brings together two highly complementary capabilities. SpeedX contributes deep US last mile delivery expertise and an established driver network, while Pro Carrier brings cross border logistics strength, network design, and proven experience operating large scale OOH models internationally. Together, they form a platform capable of deploying national infrastructure at speed. Drop X operates as an independent entity with a singular focus: building density, convenience, and reliability into out of home delivery across the US.

GB Insights | Summer 2026

A Five Year Commitment with Vinted At launch, Drop X has secured a five-year agreement with Vinted, one of the world’s leading recommerce platforms. Through this partnership, Drop X will power Vinted’s US out of home returns and parcel flows, providing the initial volume needed to accelerate national rollout. Why Out of Home Delivery Is the Next Big Opportunity in the US The opportunity is substantial. The US processes over a billion parcel returns annually, yet lacks a dedicated, consumer-first OOH network. Shoppers still queue at post offices, retailers absorb rising returns costs, and carriers struggle with inefficient last mile economics. Europe offers a clear blueprint. In markets such as the UK, France, and Germany, more than 40% of parcels now flow through OOH networks. These systems deliver lower costs, higher first time success rates, and significantly improved consumer convenience. The US is now following the same trajectory but at a far greater absolute scale. Building the Network from the Ground Up

urban and suburban areas. By combining dense drop off coverage with integrated first and last-mile transport, the platform enables faster collections, lower unit costs, and a better consumer experience. Importantly, the model is not limited to one client. While Vinted provides the initial volume, the network is being built to support marketplaces, retailers, and recommerce platforms across the US. The goal is to create a shared infrastructure layer similar to those that already dominate Europe. A Defining Moment for US Logistics The US out-of-home delivery market represents one of the largest untapped opportunities in global logistics. With the right volume, strong partners, and effective execution, a single national network has the potential to reshape how parcels are sent, received, and returned across the country. Drop X has been created to capture that opportunity, bringing together experienced operators, committed launch partners, and a clear long-term vision to build the largest out of home delivery network in the United States.

Drop X is designed as a returnsfirst, OOH-native network that will expand rapidly across 5

CENTRE SUPPORT FUNCTIONS ALIGN UNDER GB GLOBAL BANNER GB Global is bringing its centre support functions - (HR, SHEQ, Central Finance and IT) - together under a single GB Global identity, building on the transition already completed by the Marketing team.

This move reflects how these teams already operate, delivering shared expertise, resources and support across the wider Group. By formalising this structure, the phased transition creates greater clarity and consistency across functions that already work as one.

GB GLOBAL WELCOMES PAUL WOOLASS AS STRATEGIC DIRECTOR Paul Woolass joins to lead strategic projects across GB Global. He will focus on leveraging the group’s unique supply chain capabilities to maximise operations and customer value.

Every career has a story. What chapters led you to GB Global?

What does your role at GB Global involve?

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

I have been at Maersk for the last five years, leading their growth in Logistics and Services within the UK&I. During that time, I developed and delivered the strategic roadmap for expansion, building out key assets such as warehouses and container depots, while also securing the necessary service capabilities across areas including intermodal, LCL and airfreight to name a few.

My role operates at a group level, working across all business units to lead strategic projects. The focus is on maximising the benefits of operating in a brilliant group like GB Global and will focus on unlocking value across the group.

I have a lovely wife called Gilly who is definitely my better half and has been keeping me on the straight and narrow for 26 years. I have two brilliant boys Fred (7) and Monty (4) who are just bundles of energy. Most of my spare time is spent ferrying them around to football, cricket, tennis, and swimming.

Prior to Maersk, I was in DHL Supply Chain for 15 years working across warehousing, transport and LLP in a number of verticals for numerous blue chip clients.

What are you most looking forward to in your new position? I thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, juggling multiple priorities and maintaining momentum. With the diversity and growth across the group, I see this as a great fit. I’ve met so many brilliant and welcoming people so I’m really looking forward to meeting the rest of the business.

If I do get any time to myself, I have recently taken up golf and also love cross-country running.

MEET GB GLOBAL’S DEPUTY GENERAL COUNSEL, LIZZIE GRAY Please tell us about your background before joining GB Global. I spent my entire career as a solicitor working in law firms, first at HFW for 11.5 years (where I worked closely with Craig Neame), and more recently at CMS. I am a commercial disputes lawyer by background, but I am fortunate to have developed a broad skill set over the years, which means I can turn my hand to lots of different legal issues. That breadth comes in very handy in this role. What does your role involve? As Deputy Group General Counsel, I support the Group across a wide range of legal issues, including disputes, commercial contracts, property, employment and M&A. A key part of my role is working closely with colleagues across

the business to help manage risk early and support decision making. There are no daft questions, and I am always happy to be a sounding board if someone is unsure. What do you enjoy about your role? I really enjoy the variety and pace of the role, and the fact that every day is different. It is a fast-moving business with great people, and I enjoy working with colleagues who are open, collaborative and happy to engage. from (despite the lack of accent). We moved back home from London just before COVID and haven’t looked back. Growing up, I spent most of my school holidays on my grandfather’s farm, riding horses and driving tractors and I am probably at my happiest in a pair of wellies. What interests and hobbies do you enjoy outside of work? I have two very sporty children, so most of my free time is spent driving them around and facilitating their interests and hobbies. I am very lucky to live just 15 minutes from the sea, so I get to walk along the beach with my dog most mornings before work.

I live around 20 miles outside of Edinburgh in East Lothian, which is where I am originally

INFRASTRUCTURE & NETWORK GROWTH

GROUP ADDS 170-ACRE CORBY SITE TO UK PORTFOLIO GB Europe, the Group property division, secured control of a 170-acre site in Corby. Acquired under an option agreement, the land, currently in agricultural use, will be guided through the planning process as part of the group’s future development pipeline. Located on the edge of Corby in North Northamptonshire, the site will be promoted through

the area’s emerging local plan, with planning applications to be explored where appropriate. Importantly, its non–green belt status offers added flexibility as proposals evolve. With the site’s proximity to established communities, the property team is adopting a long-term, consultative approach, ensuring future plans are shaped by policy, local needs

and stakeholder engagement. The project forms part of a wider strategy to secure wellconnected sites capable of supporting sustainable growth and long-term employment.

Vincent Morris, Property Director at GB Europe, said:

“

Sites of this scale don’t come forward often. Corby allows us to apply our experience in strategic land promotion while remaining flexible and responsive to what the local plan ultimately requires.”

Industry veteran Andrew Charlesworth has been appointed General Manager to lead the site, bringing extensive experience, strong regional knowledge and a proven commercial track record to spearhead the operation.

UNISERVE LAUNCHES RAIL LCL SERVICE TO STRENGTHEN CHINA–UK SUPPLY CHAINS Operating weekly from Xi’an, the service consolidates cargo from major manufacturing hubs including Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao and Shenzhen. from origin to final delivery, improving visibility and reducing risk. By avoiding congested Northwest European rail terminals, it also helps maintain more consistent transit times when traditional routes face disruption. For SMEs, retailers and multisupplier businesses, the LCL model offers flexibility without the need to commit to full container volumes, while still

remaining cost-effective. Rail also brings a sustainability benefit, lowering emissions on the long-haul leg. In a challenging trading environment, the new service offers a reliable, predictable option for keeping supply chains moving.

NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH IN CHENNAI FOR GB GLOBAL GB Global has achieved a major milestone in its India expansion, with all Chennai operations being fully consolidated at Fagun Towers. Since Metro opened its first independent Indian office in January 2023, the Chennai team has grown rapidly, establishing a strong foundation for a more integrated and scalable operation. This growth moved into its next phase with the launch of a new base on the 11th floor of Fagun Towers in June 2025, where Uniserve also began establishing its presence. Following the finalisation of plans for Uniserve to occupy the 11th floor - supported by MISC taking on the lease and completing a refurbishment both Uniserve and Pro Carrier teams will relocate into the new space. Combined with the consolidation of Metro colleagues, this brings all teams

under one roof, streamlining operations and strengthening collaboration across the Group. Ell Shroff, Head of Global Administration Hubs at GB Global, recently visited the Chennai office as part of this next phase of development. The visit included senior leadership representation, including Iain Liddell (Group Managing Director), Gary Cobbing (Group Chief Commercial & Operating Officer) and Maria Teran (Operations Manager at CGA), who engaged directly with the team and supported the continued evolution of shared services. The Chennai hub now supports a number of group businesses, and has grown to nearly 50 colleagues, with further expansion planned throughout 2026, supported by a mix of onsite engagement and remote collaboration.

The expansion has introduced greater structure across processes, governance and capacity management, ensuring the hub can scale in a controlled and sustainable way. The additional space will support improved standardisation, faster turnaround times and enhanced resilience across key operational functions. As demand continues to grow, Chennai is increasingly positioned as a central pillar of GB Global’s operating model, driving efficiency, consistency, and long-term value. It is now firmly embedded as a core part of the global network, with a clear focus on scaling in a structured way while continuing to improve quality, consistency, and delivery for the Group.

METRO GLOBAL USA: TURNING DISRUPTION INTO OPPORTUNITY So far, 2026 is delivering yet another year of unprecedented disruption across global markets. But where there is challenge, there is also opportunity. At Metro Global, that belief sits at the centre of the next phase of growth: the establishment of Metro Global USA, a fully integrated expansion into the world’s most dynamic logistics market. With the US spending close to $3 trillion annually on logistics, Metro’s move signals a shift from its traditional reliance on third-party partners to a more direct, end-to-end operating model. By establishing its own presence, the business gains greater control over service

Backed by a highly experienced local team, a strong customer migration to its platform and a growing commercial pipeline, the US launch marks a pivotal step in Metro’s evolution - laying the foundation for long-term growth in North America.

Rather than chasing scale alone, Metro Global USA is positioning itself around agility, combining advanced technology with a start-up mindset, free from legacy constraints.

JAMES KEMBALL BOOSTS PROJECT CARGO CAPABILITIES WITH NEW CONTAINER SHIELD James Kemball has unveiled a purpose-built Container Shield just weeks after securing a new container storage yard, signalling a clear shift toward higher-value, specialist logistics. The 2,400 sq ft covered facility departs from traditional open-yard handling, offering protection from rain, wind

and UV exposure, key for safeguarding sensitive cargo such as machinery, transformers, industrial components and oversized breakbulk. By enabling year-round operations, the enclosed space reduces weather-related delays and improves reliability in timecritical project movements.

Security is also enhanced, supporting stricter insurance and regulatory requirements. The investment strengthens James Kemball’s credentials in complex logistics, positioning the business to handle more demanding, high-value cargo across its growing network.

EFRET RACES AGAINST TIME TO DELIVER EQUIPMENT FOR EUROPE’S PREMIER ATHLETICS EVENTS Swiss Timing and their partners Omega have been at the forefront of global sports timekeeping since 1972, supplying state-of-theart equipment to the world’s biggest stages, including the Olympic Games. But behind the scenes there is a critical operation in motion: moving highly sensitive equipment across continents, on time and without fault. Security and precision are of paramount importance to ensure that the delicate apparatus involved, such as digital scoreboards and cameras, arrives on time and in perfect condition. Any failure could disrupt an entire event, so carriers must maintain full control over drivers, with routes carefully planned to manage

20

risks such as border crossings and customs delays. Efret has been selected as Swiss Timing’s trusted logistics partner, tasked with transporting equipment to a packed calendar of elite athletics events, including: • Diamond League in Rabat, Morocco • Hypomeeting in Götzis, Austria • Diamond League in Rome, Italy • FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands • Mehrkampf-Meeting in Ratingen, Germany • Diamond League in Paris, France • Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, United Kingdom

Efret’s team will handle the complex logistics requirements including collecting equipment from Swiss Timing’s headquarters in Corgémont, Switzerland and Leipzig, Germany, delivering to the events and coordinating the customs formalities. This includes arranging secure storage in between events in collaboration with Group partners Uniserve Netherlands in Hoofddorp and Tendron in Paris. Just like the athletics relay teams they support, Swiss Timing passed the baton to Team Efret to deliver on the global stage.

The move enables 24/7 cargo screening, allowing air freight exports to be secured at any time using X-ray, Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) and Free Running Explosive Detection Dogs (FREDDs), covering all but extremely dense cargo.

Previously operating with daytime coverage seven days a week and night shifts from Monday to Friday, the business has been running Sunday nights on an ad hoc basis for the past nine months. The team is led by Ryan Gallagher, Warehousing General Manager, with the support of two highly experienced managers - Richard Morris overseeing day operations and Marcus Francis leading the night shift. This leadership team is backed by a strong group of supervisors and operatives who play a vital role in delivering consistently high service levels.

DIGITISING DOCUMENTS AND BUILDING AI CAPABILITY What is One World Digidocs? A GB Global initiative led by Group IT, developed in close collaboration with George Baker and Customs Insights, the platform uses AI to automate document processing, reduce manual effort and build long term AI capability across the group. The project began with a clear challenge: teams across many GB Global businesses manually process high volumes of PDF documentation within critical workflows, including invoices, packing lists and supporting paperwork - where accuracy, compliance and auditability are essential, but manual handling adds cost and limits scale. Rather than relying on external solutions or isolated automation, GB Global chose to build

AI capability in-house. One World Digidocs accelerates this strategy, enabling rapid development of tools and governance around applied AI, while ensuring knowledge, ownership and long-term value remain within the business.

scalability. Its cloud architecture, security model and integration approach are centrally managed, enabling other GB Global businesses to adopt the technology without the need to build or source their own systems.

How does the Platform Work?

What Comes Next?

Group IT worked closely with Customs Insights and George Baker to develop an AIdriven platform that classifies documents and extracts structured data, presenting it through clear review and validation screens. Repetitive tasks are automated, but accountability remains with trained professionals, ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met.

As One World Digidocs completes its final production readiness steps, the platform will transition fully into Group IT ownership, where it will be supported, enhanced and extended as a core group capability. Other GB Global companies will be invited to onboard - both for customs use cases and for future document digitisation initiatives identified across the business.

This is a GB Global Group IT platform, designed for reuse and

ONE WORLD LEAD STAR: A SMARTER DIGITAL EXPERIENCE FOR CUSTOMERS One World Lead Star is a modern digital customer portal designed to give organisations a single trusted view of their supply chain activity. Developed as part of One World’s Move stack, Lead Star brings together shipment visibility, documentation, reporting, AI-powered insight, and emissions data into one connected experience. As global supply chains become more complex, businesses are increasingly challenged by fragmented information spread across emails, spreadsheets, carrier portals, and disconnected systems. Lead Star has been developed to address this challenge by providing realtime access to the information organisations need in one place. From origin collection through to final mile delivery, users can view shipment activity across

multiple providers and transport modes through a single interface. By turning fragmented data into clear, accessible information, Lead Star helps teams reduce manual effort, gain greater visibility, and make faster, more confident decisions. A key feature of the platform is its embedded AI capability. Rather than relying on shipment references, filters, or multiple searches, users can interact with supply chain information using simple, natural language queries. For example: • “Shipments arriving this week” • “Shipments arrived in the last 30 days” • “PO number PO120984” • “Vessel name Morten Maersk”

the relevant information, helping users access updates, documents, milestones, and operational insight more quickly. Lead Star also integrates emissions reporting directly alongside shipment activity, making sustainability reporting easier to access and manage without introducing separate processes. As the entry point into One World’s wider digital supply chain ecosystem, Lead Star provides the foundation for future capabilities across automation, compliance, operational intelligence, and supply chain optimisation.

SUSTAINABILITY & INNOVATION

ONE YEAR OF UNISERVE’S BIO LNG AT SCALE One year after deploying its first ten Volvo Bio LNG vehicles, Uniserve is reporting strong results, positioning Bio LNG as a proven, scalable solution for lower-carbon freight. Over the past 12 months, the fleet has travelled 2.16 million miles, surpassing its combined annual mileage target of 340,000 km by 2.3%. Eight out of ten vehicles met or exceeded their individual targets, while just two trucks were impacted by accident-related vehicleoff-road time. Even with this early disruption, overall performance remained ahead of expectations. Environmental impact has been significant. The Bio LNG fleet has reduced CO₂ emissions by 2,685 tonnes - equivalent to removing approximately 1,800 cars from the road, cancelling 3,000 transatlantic flights, or powering 445 homes for a year. This is not a controlled trial. Bio LNG operates at scale, mile after mile, while supporting highmileage logistics with reduced environmental impact. Following the fleet surpassing key mileage milestones, the data continues to reinforce Bio LNG’s role in the future of lower-carbon road freight.

UNISERVE PARTNERS WITH VETERANS JOB BOARD TO SUPPORT EX-MILITARY CAREERS Uniserve has announced a new partnership with Veterans Job Board, aimed at supporting ex-military personnel as they transition into civilian careers within the logistics sector. This collaboration will connect veterans with meaningful employment opportunities across the GB Global Group, valuing the skills and experience

they bring from service life and helping them build clear, sustainable career pathways. Uniserve already employs a number of former service personnel and, following the launch, spoke with two colleagues from military backgrounds to share their experiences of transitioning into the logistics industry.

Name: Gareth Manger Job Title: HGV Driver Trainer Location: Chepstow

Can you tell us about your journey from military service to your current role at Uniserve, and what inspired you to move into logistics? After serving over 22 years in the Army and 12 years in the Royal Logistic Corps, moving to logistics was a logical move for me. I completed my O Licence course within resettlement, and I held a position as a Transport Manager for a small transport company. I drove HGVs for several years, then decided I would use the skills and expertise I gained through the military as an HGV instructor to become an HGV Driver Trainer. Which skills or values from your time in the Armed Forces have been most valuable in your career within the logistics sector? Discipline, loyalty, determination, the ability to get the job done, and multi-tasking.

36

What challenges did you face when transitioning from military life to civilian employment? • Learning the monetary factor within the civilian employment is critical. Learning everything has a cost. • Learning to adapt communication styles and recognising that some aspects of military humour don’t always translate. • Some days will be great and others will be a challenge. It’s having that calmness to try and deal with difficult situations. What message would you share with other service leavers considering a career in logistics?

I am currently still a serving member of the Army Reserves and Uniserve supports me fully. How has Uniserve supported your development since joining, and why do you think logistics is a strong career path for other veterans leaving the Armed Forces? Since joining Uniserve almost two years ago, the company has given me the opportunity to attend my civilian HGV Instructor’s course. I have just completed year one of a company funded three-year BSc Hons course in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, which is run through GB Global’s own Supply Chain Academy and in conjunction with Leeds Trinity University.

The variety of roles available within logistics is huge, be it driving an HGV, to working in the warehouse or IT & Communications jobs - Uniserve may have a role for you.

GB Insights | Summer 2026

Name: Andrew De Vere Job Title: Warehousing Director Location: Upminster Can you tell us about your journey from military service to your current role at Uniserve, and what inspired you to move into logistics?

What challenges did you face when transitioning from military life to civilian employment, and how did you overcome them?

Like many ex-military personnel, I initially fell into logistics. Over the years, however, the sector has become far more sophisticated and wideranging, offering many career pathways. Being part of a global business is particularly attractive for people with strong self discipline.

It felt very lonely after many years in the military. I was also very critical of what I perceived as civilian work ethic. Without the support of family, I moved to an area where I had no existing network. My training and prior life experience helped me adapt, and although it took a few months, I gradually moved forward with both work and friendships.

Which skills or values from your time in the Armed Forces have been most valuable in your career within the logistics sector? Self-discipline, organisation, integrity and a strong work ethic.

you choose the career path you will both enjoy and excel at. Don’t be afraid to try different areas! How has Uniserve supported your development since joining, and why do you think logistics is a strong career path for other veterans leaving the Armed Forces? During my career I have been supported by various parts of the business, and I am now in a position to support any service men or women joining Uniserve.

What message would you share with other service leavers considering a career in logistics? Logistics is such a diverse industry, so take time to ensure

A MOMENT OF AWARENESS. A SPLIT-SECOND DECISION. A POTENTIAL LIFE SAVED. A Uniserve driver noticed someone in distress on a bridge above a UK motorway. Acting quickly, he and two other HGV drivers positioned their vehicles below the bridge to help reduce the risk of a fall and remained alert until emergency services arrived. It was a calm, decisive action in a difficult moment, and a powerful reminder that drivers do far more than simply move vehicles from one place to another. They

spend long hours on the road, often working in demanding and unpredictable environments. This incident demonstrates how a driver’s awareness and selfless response can make a vital difference when faced with an unexpected and challenging scenario. SMARTER SUPPLY CHAINS: WHERE QUANTUM OPTIMISATION ACTUALLY PROTECTS & DELIVERS VALUE As global supply chains grow more complex and interconnected, leaders are being forced to make faster, higher-stakes decisions under increasing pressure, often balancing cost, speed, resilience and security all at once. Now, a new approach is emerging that could reshape how those decisions are made. Quantum optimisation, once seen as a future concept, is starting to play a practical role in helping organisations protect critical systems while unlocking smarter, more resilient supply chain performance. WHY THIS MATTERS TO YOU Running a global supply chain today means making hundreds of important decisions every day, often under pressure: • Which routes to use • Where to position stock • How to react when something goes wrong

• How to protect data, systems, and customer information • Most of these decisions involve trade offs • Saving money here might increase risk there • Speed might reduce resilience.

• Security measures can slow operations if designed poorly The challenge is not experience or effort. The challenge is complexity.

WHEN COMPLEXITY BECOMES THE RISK Modern supply chains run on digital systems.

That makes complexity itself a source of risk.

Every decision is connected to data, partners, infrastructure, cost, and risk across borders and time zones. These systems are not sitting in the background supporting trade. They are the infrastructure that allows trade to function at all.

Because these systems are shared, interconnected, and interdependent, a cyber incident affecting one part of the supply chain does not stay contained. It affects the whole network operations, trust, and continuity.

48

This is why the nature of supply chain risk has fundamentally changed.

The question leaders now face isn’t simply “How do we optimise performance?” It’s “How do we make sound decisions and protect the systems behind them when complexity and exposure are inseparable?” This is where quantum optimisation enters the picture.

GB Insights | Summer 2026

WHY QUANTUM MATTERS NOW Traditional approaches to planning and security were built for a world where risks were more isolated and systems were less connected. That world no longer exists. As digital supply chains have become tightly integrated, existing approaches to encryption, optimisation, and risk modelling are being stretched to their limits. Exposure is no longer local. It is systemic.

When the systems that underpin trade can be disrupted or compromised, trade itself becomes vulnerable operationally, commercially, and economically.

And it is why organisations involved in global trade are beginning to engage with quantum now cautiously, deliberately, and with a clear focus on protection and value.

This is why quantum is not simply a technology discussion. It is about: • protecting trust in trade • safeguarding continuity • reducing the risk of digital supply chains being exploited or weaponised

THE REAL DECISION CHALLENGE LEADERS ARE FACING Leaders are now making decisions in an environment where: • cyber risk is systemic, not isolated • disruption spreads quickly across networks • efficiency, resilience, and security constantly trade off • decisions that look optimal in one area can quietly increase exposure elsewhere

Traditional systems struggle because they simplify reality. They rely on averages, thresholds, and linear logic. That works until too many variables interact at once. When visibility drops, judgement fills the gap. And judgement under pressure is where risk quietly builds.

This is why the ability to explore large numbers of scenarios quickly including cyber, resilience, and operational shocks has become critical. This is where quantum enhanced optimisation adds value. Not by replacing existing systems. But by supporting better decisions when traditional approaches reach their limits.

WHAT ONE WORLD IS ACTUALLY FOCUSING ON We are not experimenting with technology for its own sake. At One World, we are carefully exploring where advanced optimisation could deliver real, practical benefits in areas that matter most to traders and logistics operators.

CYBER SECURITY AND DATA PROTECTION Supply chains are now digital supply chains. That means cyber security is business security. This includes: • customer data • trade data • pricing

• contracts • routing information • operational systems

Encryption and security are non-negotiable. In our work: • • • •

all operational data is encrypted end to end no live systems are exposed during testing no customer operations are put at risk no sensitive information leaves controlled environments

Quantum optimisation is never allowed to weaken data protection. In fact, one benefit of this work is helping organisations decide: • where security controls matter most • which systems need the strongest protection • how to prioritise cyber defence resources intelligently This is about reducing attack exposure, not increasing it.

SUPPLY CHAIN OPTIMISATION Separately, quantum optimisation supports better commercial decision making where complexity overwhelms traditional tools.

This includes decisions such as: • choosing the best routes when capacity, cost, service, and risk all matter • deciding how to allocate limited transport or warehouse space • planning stock flows across regions with uncertainty

The goal is better decisions, not faster spreadsheets. Decisions that recognise trade offs early and avoid efficiency gains that create fragility later.

RISK AND DISRUPTION PLANNING Every supply chain faces shocks: • port closures • strikes • cyber incidents • weather disruptions • sudden cost changes The hardest part is choosing the right response quickly, often with incomplete information.

50

These are decision problems, not guesswork problems. Advanced optimisation helps evaluate: • different disruption scenarios • recovery options • cost vs service vs risk trade offs

So responses are planned, tested, and stress tested not improvised under pressure.

GB Insights | Summer 2026

HOW THIS IS DONE WITHOUT ADDING RISK One principle governs everything: Nothing experimental touches live operations. At One World: • classical and quantum assisted approaches run side by side • outcomes are compared and validated • evidence is built gradually

There is: • no operational disruption • no forced adoption • no technology risk passed to customers If it doesn’t clearly protect infrastructure or improve decision quality, it doesn’t get used.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU AS A TRADER OR OPERATOR This is not about adopting scary new technology. It is about: • making better decisions in complex situations • improving resilience • protecting data and systems • reducing hidden risk • avoiding costly mistakes that only show up later

Most importantly: • Your data stays secure • Your operations stay protected • Technology serves the business, not the other way round

THE LONG TERM OPPORTUNITY Quantum optimisation will not suddenly change supply chains overnight. But it does change how decisions can be tested, evaluated, and improved especially when: • stakes are high • margins are tight • risk is growing • cyber threats are real One World is taking a controlled, cautious, security first approach so that when the technology is ready, it delivers real commercial value without adding risk.
