From The General
Dear Medina Country Club Members,
2026 is off to a wonderful start at Medina Country Club! The UPC and Palmer Room has been busier than ever, event planning for the year is nearly complete, and construction of the new Clubhouse is moving full steam ahead. The excitement surrounding everything ahead in 2026 is already being felt.
Construction on the new Clubhouse has begun strong. The foundation has been poured, work is underway on the elevator shaft, and we anticipate the delivery of structural steel in the coming weeks as the framework begins to take shape. Despite the challenging winter conditions, the daily and weekly progress has been impressive. We look forward to keeping you informed every step of the way.
Membership remains a key focus as we move through the winter months. Our no-dues promotion is still available for new golf Members—those who join now will pay no dues until April 1, while the initiation fee for their selected Membership category will still apply. Additionally, any current Member who refers a new golf Member will receive a one-month dues credit, applicable toward Club dues or purchases. We encourage you to invite family and friends to take advantage of this exciting referral opportunity.
A major focus this offseason has been event planning for both the golf and social calendars. For the 2026 golf events, we concentrated on building upon the success of previous years while also fine-tuning and enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, we placed a strong emphasis on expanding family-friendly and kid-focused events for the 2026 calendar. Also, please be on the lookout for the 2026 Golf Book being released on March 1st.

Tournament Book & Club Storage
As we look ahead to the 2026 season, we are excited to share that we are creating the most comprehensive Golf Book we have ever produced. This year’s edition will include everything you need to know about our upcoming events and important golf information, and it will be published on March 1. On that same date, registration for all tournaments—excluding Invitationals—will open in Golf Genius. With continued growth and strong participation in our tournament program, we highly encourage early registration to secure your spot. We sincerely thank you for your continued enthusiasm and incredible support of our golf program.
Tired of hauling your clubs back and forth? Let us take care of that for you. Simply drop off your clubs during regular business hours, and we’ll safely store them here for your convenience. Due to limited bag storage space,
Welcome Logan!

we will be unable to store personal pull/push carts or any personal property other than golf bags this season. If you currently have a cart or other personal items stored at the Club, we kindly ask that they be picked up prior to April 1. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to enhance the MCC experience. We look forward to another outstanding season on the course and hope to see you often in 2026.

Jason Martin Head Golf Professional
From Berea, Ohio, I am a Baldwin Wallace University graduate with a degree in Sport Management and Marketing. My passion for the game— both playing and working in golf—was inspired by my dad and grandpa, who introduced me to the sport, coached me along the way, and continue to support me today. While at Baldwin Wallace, I competed on the golf team and earned All-OAC honors in 2025. I began my career in golf at Medina Country Club as a Golf Operations Intern before moving on to serve as the Second Assistant Golf Professional at Quail Hollow Club. I am excited to be back at Medina CC, continuing my growth in the golf industry, and building strong relationships with the membership.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Since breaking ground this past August, progress on our new Clubhouse has been steadily moving forward. While the recent weather has made for some muddy photo ops, our construction team has been hard at work whenever conditions allow, digging, preparing, and continuing to place the foundation. One exciting milestone already completed is the pouring of the elevator shaft, marking a big step in the building’s framework. Foundation work is ongoing, and each phase brings us closer to seeing this long-anticipated project come to life. We can’t wait to continue sharing the journey with you as it takes shape.

Grounds Crew Winter Projects
Happy New Year to all the members and staff. The end of December and beginning of January finds us working hard to get our equipment ready for the spring. Servicing all the equipment, replacing parts, sharpening all the reels, washing and waxing all the equipment is a full-time job for at least two and most times three employees. We have 60 reels to take apart, replace the bearings and seals, rebuild the rollers, sharpen, and put back together. That is our main focus right now and the most important job we do every winter. As far as the golf course, we are working
on removing a few dead trees, cleaning up debris, and strategically burning all the trees and branches we have collected during the year. The warmer weather will be here before we know it.

THROWBACK SPOTLIGHT

Three years ago, the Medina Country Club was filled with excitement (and a little dust!) as we began building what would become the Union Performance Centre. Watching the space take shape day by day was an exciting time, full of anticipation for all that was to come. Looking back, it’s fun to remember those early moments and just how far we’ve come transforming a big idea into a space our members enjoy every day. (Pictures from December, 28 2022)

Around the Clubhouse
Happy February,
I hope everyone is having a terrific winter so far. Here at the Club February is a great time to forget the cold and warm up in the Palmer Room for some great food and drinks. Weekly Specials are available and always changing. While you’re there, bring your golf clubs with and enjoy no Guest Fee’s on the simulators.
Please make sure you sign up for our exquisite Valentine’s Day Couple’s Dinner. There will be two seatings inside the main Clubhouse, at 5:00 and 7:00. Reservations can be made by going through the website. Chef Brandon and his team have created a menu with something for everybody, so please come and enjoy a romantic evening here at the Club.
February also brings us to Fish Fry season. We will start Fish Fry’s on Ash Wednesday, February 26th and then have them on every Friday during Lent. We will offer a special Lenten Menu alongside our regular menu so if you’re not a fan of fish you can come and still enjoy some wonderful food with the family. Fish Fry’s will also take place in the Main Clubhouse to accommodate as many families as possible. Reservations for all Fish Fry’s can be made by going to the website. I hope to see everybody here at the Club.

Chef's Corner
As the new year settles in and resolutions are still fresh, many of us are looking for ways to maintain healthy habits without sacrificing the joy of dining out. Whether your goals include eating lighter, feeling more energized, or simply being more mindful of your choices, our culinary team is here to support you every step of the way.
Dining out can still align with your wellness goals with a few simple, thoughtful approaches. Choosing grilled, roasted, or baked preparations, incorporating seasonal vegetables, and balancing proteins with lighter accompaniments are easy ways to enjoy a satisfying meal while staying on track. Portion awareness, mindful indulgences, and smart substitutions can make all the difference without ever feeling restrictive.

As we move through the winter season, our team continues to focus on flavourful, wholesome offerings across all dining venues. From fresh, thoughtfully prepared specials to menu options designed with balance in mind, we aim to provide choices that fit a variety of lifestyles and preferences. Our culinary staff is always happy to accommodate requests and offer guidance when you’re looking for lighter or customized options.
Remember, maintaining resolutions doesn’t mean giving up the social experience of dining at the Club, it means finding enjoyment in foods that fuel you well. We encourage members to explore new flavors, ask questions, and discover creative ways to make dining both delicious and health conscious.
We look forward to helping you make this year one filled with great food, positive habits, and enjoyable moments shared at Medina Country Club.
