storylines: 1. Series History UNF leads the all-time series, 6-4-1 … UNF and Mercer were once ASUN rivals … the Ospreys and Bears first played against each other Oct. 6, 2005 … UNF is 2-2 against Mercer in road contests … last season’s match was deemed a no contest at the half due to weather. 2. Last Time Out ORLANDO - North Florida women’s soccer nearly came away with a result against No. 22 UCF, getting an equalizer from Paige McSwigan in the 69th minute, but UCF replied and scored the game winner minutes later in a 2-1 hard-fought loss Sunday, Aug. 27. 3. Balanced ‘Spreys Five different Ospreys have combined to score all five of UNF’s goals ... Kayla Bond, Paige McSwigan, Allie Fekany, Liz Anne Fogarty and Sydney Hauth all have a tally next to their names Jersi Dadah has supplied one assist, while Avery Raimondo and Lauren Weiss are tied. 4. Back in Their Home State While the overwhelming amount of Ospreys hail from Florida and many from the First Coast, North Florida has five Ospreys are Georgia natives ... Averi Walraven, Chloe Lynch, Liz Anne Fogarty, Brooklynn Fugel and Hadley Collier are all from Georgia. 5. Taking Inventory The Ospreys return a veteran team that features 25 returners ... 19 of the 38 Ospreys are underclassmen, with 20 being upperclassmen ... UNF returns 88 percent of its scoring from last year ... UNF’s stingy defense in 2022 brings in a stretch of allowing just one goal from Oct. 9 through Oct. 27.
