BCH Community Engagement
BCH Deans participated in the Jacksonville Healthcare Chiefs Event, engaging with healthcare executives to discuss workforce development, innovation, and partnerships that advance community health. Additionally, the Deans proudly joined the 2025 American Heart Association Heart Walk, underscoring our commitment to heart health and community wellness. These efforts highlight BCH’s dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles and advancing public health initiatives across Jacksonville.
BCH Faculty Development
BCH hosted an Interprofessional Education (IPE) Faculty Event, bringing together faculty from all eight units to collaborate, share best practices, and strengthen interprofessional teaching, research and learning. The event focused on teamwork, communication and integrated approaches to healthcare education, preparing students for collaborative clinical practice. More than 30 faculty members participated.
BCH PARTNERSHIPS
Our leadership remains committed to strengthening partnerships at both the local and international levels. Recently, discussions were held with representatives from to identify opportunities for collaboration between UNF's Brooks College of Health (BCH) and their faculty and students, focusing on
Community Gala & Alumni Reunion for BCH alumni and Cypress Village Retirement, which welcomed over representatives to our campus; their partnership at UNF will support educational efforts and advance
Student Recruitment
BCH participated in Explore UNF: Fall Open House, showcasing our academic programs and achievements. Approximately 150 guests attended to learn more about the diverse majors offered within BCH.
Donor Relations
The Deans met with individual and institutional donors to express gratitude for their generous support and to discuss initiatives that advance healthcare education, research and community engagement. These conversations strengthened partnerships and explored new opportunities to invest in student success.

Global Leadership
BCH proudly co-hosted the 2025 International Health Symposium with the Duval County Medical Society Foundation—a premier global forum bringing together more than 600 thought leaders, innovators and changemakers to explore emerging trends in health policy and practice in the Digital Age. The event featured inspiring keynote addresses, thought-provoking panel discussions, and interactive workshops centered on health equity, innovation in healthcare delivery, and crossdisciplinary research collaborations. This initiative underscores BCH’s ongoing commitment to community partnership and to preparing students for leadership in an increasingly complex and interconnected global health landscape.
