Elected Student Officer Role Reviews All student officers: All Student Officers serve in key leadership positions within the Students’ Union acting as trustees with full voting rights on the Undeb Bangor Trustee Board and Student Officer Executive Team. Officers will guide and work in partnership with professional staff on Students’ Union campaigns and events as well as supporting Welcome Week activities, including the Serendipity Freshers’ Fair. Officers will sometimes need to be available to support events during evenings and weekends, outside of regular office hours. Officers will represent students in high-level University meetings, liaise with relevant departments, attend national conferences, participate in interview panels as well as appeals and disciplinary processes when required. Additionally, the roles require maintaining effective communication with students, contributing to Union publications and also supporting health, welfare, sustainability and community initiatives. Officers will help produce reports, attend meetings and maintain a strong presence across campus.

Shall be a trustee of the Students’ Union Shall be considered a ‘major union officer holder’ as defined by the 1994 Education Act Shall be a full voting member of the Undeb Bangor Trustee Board and Undeb Bangor Student Officer Team. Shall provide leadership on the direction of the Students' Union's campaigns and events portfolio Shall aid and support Welcome Week activities, including a Freshers’ fair. Shall support the work of Union officers and staff. At times this may be during evenings and weekends, outside of regular office hours. Promote the values of the Union at all times Shall work to ensure that their, and the Students’ Union’s, work is properly and effectively communicated to students. Shall be expected to regularly provide articles for Union publications, including the website. Shall work to support and deliver the Students’ Union health, welfare, sustainability and community remit. Shall proactively work on Policy passed through the democratic process Shall attend and represent students at high level University meetings including; strategy groups task and finish groups and committees Shall liaise with relevant University departments on matters which are important to students Shall attend national conferences Shall sit on Students’ Union and University interview panels when required Shall aid in representing students at University appeals and disciplinary processes when required
