Course Rep FAQs 1. Where can I find the Course Reps in my school? You can find out who the Course Reps in your school are by going to the My School area on the Undeb Bangor website. Here you’ll find a list of course rep contacts, who your senior rep is, who your Director of Student Engagement is as well as information about meetings/events that are coming up.
2. Who is my Director of Student Engagement (DSE) and what do they do? You can find out who the Director of Student Engagement is in your school by going to the My School area on the Undeb Bangor Website. They are responsible for communicating with course reps in the schools, chairing the SSLiC meetings and listening to students’ views on academic issues and best practice.
3. Where do I sign up? Course Rep sign up opens on 15th April 2024 and will remain open until midnight on 13th October 2024. You’ll find the link to the sign up form here If you want to sign up after this time, please get in touch on coursereps@undebbangor.com
4. How do I become a Senior Rep? Senior Reps nominate themselves for the role and are voted into their roles by other course reps in their schools. The election takes place in May, ahead of the new academic year beginning in September.
5. What is expected of me if I sign up? By signing up to become a Course Rep, you agree to the following: • • • • • • •
Attend training to better understand the role build on skills needed to be a rep. Promote your role as a course rep to students on your course and at a school level if you choose a secondary position. Gather feedback (both positive and negative) Attend and represent the views of students at Student Staff Committee Meetings and Course Rep Council Update students of outcomes of meetings Work with the SU to bring issues to our attention. Agree to conduct yourself in accordance with the University’s Student Charter
