A Message from Erick Dear Campus Community, October was a month filled with incredible energy, meaningful celebrations, and powerful partnerships that brought our campus to life. We celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month featuring recipes from our associates. Our campus was buzzing with pride as we welcomed families, alumni, and prospective students for Blue and Gold and Open House. We continue our partnership with Law School with our monthly pop-up events. A huge shoutout to our partners, Tabasco, Pepsi, and Celsius for their generous support and exciting giveaways. These collaborations added flavor (literally!) and fun to our campus experience. Our cultural events continue to be a great success with Diwali this month and a dinner event with Lusophone Student Union to highlight Portuguese, Brazilian, and Cape Verdean cuisine in November. We are two weeks into our campus survey and have already received over 900 responses with a strong 83% satisfaction rate. As we wrap up October, we are energized by the momentum and looking forward to building on these successes. Stay tuned for updates on survey results and upcoming initiatives that will continue to enhance our campus experience. OCTOBER 2025 Claws For A Cause Thanking our veterans by serving the one percent who have selflessly served us all. The UMassD Dining and Mass Maritime Dining teams collaborated to support the second annual Claws for a Cause Event. This event is hosted by Fishing for the Mission 22, a veteran nonprofit organization, and fundraised over $41,000 for veterans in need. The event helped bring community together through networking with veteran peers while enjoying a delicious seafood feast. We greatly enjoy getting to connect with our veterans!

Blue & Gold Weekend We had an incredible time celebrating Blue & Gold Weekend! Our talented Catering team was proud to support the various campus events honoring students, alumni, and families. From the Hall of Fame Reception to the 52nd Alumni Awards and Arnie’s Reunion, we loved celebrating our Corsair community and sharing our passion for delicious food while bringing people together.

Cultural celebrations Diwali ISA Dinner Shubh Diwali! We truly enjoyed celebrating Diwali in The Grove! We featured traditional Indian dishes from tandoori chicken to lamb biryani and chana masala. Our Corsair community gathered together to share this special celebration and enjoy delicious Indian cuisines.

FOOD CORNER A Message From Chef Joe As an Executive Chef for over 25 years, I have been leading culinary teams and am passionate about creating delicious and safe food for everyone. I am committed to the delivery on promise and the commitment of raising the bar daily. I spend my time finding innovative and creative ideas to generate experiences and memories through food. This semester we have implemented some delicious new menu features including our new Grove pizza program, fried chicken Thursdays, Performance Circle offerings, and delicious international cuisines served at our new United Table station. We continue to listen to our students and strive to bring delicious and innovative cuisines to our campus community.
