A Message from Erick

And that’s a wrap! We had such an incredible semester! We are thrilled to share some fantastic highlights, including our survey responses We received 1,370 responses with 85% overall satisfaction for UMassD Dining! Thank you to everyone who participated and provided valuable feedback We truly cannot thank our campus community enough for the insights and positive feedback.

With this feedback, we are planning great things for the Spring 2026 semester Absurd Bird, our take on a classic chicken shack, will be taking over in our Student Choice location. We are also expanding our international cuisine offerings to bring more global flavors to campus This feedback is helping us plan for the Fall 2026 semester as we focus on growing the dining experience through sushi offerings, meal plan enhancements, and program enhancements

Our cultural and signature events, including Friendsgiving and Global Flavors, continue to be a huge hit. Participation in these events continues to grow, and we appreciate all who join to help make these moments special

We are looking to finish the semester strong and continue to make the student experience on campus unique, fun, and flavorful!

Friendsgiving

The season of giving and gathering calls for a tasty Friendsgiving dinner! Our chefs cooked up a delicious Thanksgiving inspired meal for our Corsairs to enjoy.

FOOD CORNER

A Message From Chef Keila

Food has always been my way of connecting with people As the Executive Catering Chef for UMassD Catering, I am passionate about crafting creative and delicious meals that bring our campus community together.

Our Catering team thrives on sharing our love for food and unity, and we are proud to be part of so many meaningful campus events From preparing traditional dishes like pollo guisado, maduros, and ropa vieja for the Orgullo Latino Fashion Show to serving elegant herb-roasted chicken and quinoastuffed squash at the Faculty Scholarship Dinner, we aim to make every plate memorable.

One of our favorite annual traditions is the Friendsgiving Dinner, where we celebrate with a comforting spread of classic Thanksgiving favorites These events allow us to tell stories through food by using seasonal ingredients, local inspiration, and a thoughtful balance of creativity and comfort.

Whether I am leading our team, developing new menus, or executing large-scale events, I strive to bring excellence, teamwork, and passion to every dish we serve We look forward to more campus events in the Spring!
