Dear Sorors, Dear Sorors,
As we return from our summer hiatus, I hope each of you is refreshed, renewed, and ready for another exciting season of sisterhood and service. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to each of you for the dedication, commitment, and support you continue to show our beloved Alpha Gamma Omega Chapter. Our strength is rooted in the collective efforts of our members, and I am grateful for all that you do to help our chapter remain Accomplished, Gracious, and Outstanding! Our summer was filled with wonderful opportunities to reconnect and celebrate our sisterhood. The 72nd Boule in Las Vegas was truly a memorable experience. It was a joy to reconnect with sorors from across the country, participate in the business of our beloved organization, and celebrate the bonds that unite us as members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Our chapter party was a success. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to assist on that day. I hope you returned from Boule inspired, energized, and ready for the work ahead. As we begin this new season, September marks an exciting time for Alpha Gamma Omega. We have several opportunities to reconnect, serve, fellowship, and continue advancing our mission. Please mark your calendars for our upcoming events: Denim & Pearls – September 12 We look forward to coming together in sisterhood and fellowship as we kick off the new season.
GREENwell – September 18–19 We will join Tau Tau Omega Chapter and Southern California chapters for this important environmental service initiative. More details will be shared as plans are finalized for our day of service at Jefferson Corridor and the sisterly event. Pre-Centennial Day Party – October 10 We are continuing our celebration as we journey toward AGO's Centennial. This special event will be an opportunity to celebrate our history, fellowship with one another, and support the continued legacy of Alpha Gamma Omega. Sell, Sell, Sell tickets to our event. Proceeds will benefit students for scholarships and community programs.
As we begin this new program year, we are also preparing to embrace our organization's new program targets under the leadership of International President Charletta Wilson Jacks. The eight program targets are: 1. Educational Support & Advocacy 2. AKA Family Matters 3. Health Awareness & Well-Being 4. Economic Growth & Success 5. Environmental & Sustainability Action 6. Arts Advocacy & Cultural Awareness 7. The Global Community 8. Undergraduate Impact Program
In addition, we will support our signature program, AKA Foster the Future. While the official kickoff of the new program is January 1, you will receive an introduction to these initiatives at our upcoming chapter meeting. I encourage each of you to learn more about these areas and consider how your talents, interests, and passions can contribute to our collective work. As we enter this new season, let us continue to build upon the accomplishments of the first half of the sorority year. There is much work ahead, but I am confident that together we will continue to serve with purpose, strengthen our sisterhood, and make a meaningful impact on our communities. Welcome back, sorors! I look forward to seeing each of you, reconnecting, and working together as we prepare to finish the year strong. We are Accomplished Gracious Outstanding since 1927!

Tea R ses I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you who helped make this summer so special. I also want to extend a very special thank you to our Scholarship Committee for an outstanding reception. Your hard work, dedication, and attention to detail created a beautiful and memorable experience. More importantly, your efforts support a mission that is at the heart of what we do. Thank you for investing in our youth and helping us make a lasting difference in their lives. A BIG thank you to everyone who attended Boule in Las Vegas and represented AGO with such pride, excellence, and sisterly spirit. Thank you to those who went above and beyond to assist our chapter members, including helping with scooters and making sure our sisters were comfortable, supported, and cared for throughout the experience. A special thank you to everyone who helped with our chapter party, whether you assisted with planning, setup, hosting, greeting, or simply showed up ready to lend a hand. Your willingness to serve and support one another is what makes AGO so special. Most importantly, thank you for extending love, kindness, and sisterly support throughout the summer. Whether through a phone call, text, helping hand, or simply checking in, every gesture mattered. I am truly grateful for each of you and the spirit of sisterhood you continue to demonstrate. Thank you for showing up, stepping up, and lifting one another up. Together, we continue to make AGO Accomplished, Gracious, and Outstanding!

A Season of Renewal: Walking in a Champion Spirit As summer gives way to fall, children return to school, calendars begin to fill, and our sisterhood returns to the work before us, September offers us something sacred: a second season of renewal. We often think of January as our opportunity to begin again, but September brings its own breath of fresh air. As we look back on the first half of this year and forward to all that remains, let us first pause and simply say, Thank You, God. Thank You for bringing us this far. Thank You for the victories, the lessons, the rest, and even the challenges that strengthened us along the way. As a New Era of Sisterhood under our International President & CEO Charletta Wilson Jacks we do so with a Champion Spirit, embracing the call to “Champion Service. Empower Sisterhood. Transform the World.” But what does it mean to be a champion spiritually? The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 9:24: “Do you not know that in a race the runners all compete, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win it.” A champion understands that winning requires more than enthusiasm at the starting line. It requires discipline, focus, endurance, preparation, and faith. Spiritually, we are called to that same discipline. We must remain focused when distractions arise, persevere when the work becomes difficult, and remember that our ultimate strength does not come from ourselves—it comes from God. And perhaps this September, being a champion also means giving ourselves and one another permission to begin again. We do not have to carry every frustration, disagreement, disappointment, or burden from the previous season into this one. Some things need to be learned from. Some things need to be forgiven. And some things simply need to be released. So, Sorors, as we return, let us return renewed. Let us champion service not for recognition, but because service is love in action. Let us empower sisterhood by encouraging rather than diminishing one another, making room for every generation and every season of membership. And let us transform the world by remembering that extraordinary change begins with ordinary people who are willing to answer God's call. May we enter September with fresh energy, renewed faith, open hearts, and a Champion Spirit. Run your race. Keep the faith. Encourage your sister. Serve with purpose. And when you grow weary, remember where your strength comes from. God has brought us this far—and God is not finished with us yet. May this new season find us stronger in faith, deeper in sisterhood, greater in service, and ready to champion the work ahead. Blessings Beloved!
