Whilst travel restrictions and border closures continue to disrupt the livelihoods of artists around the world, we have been overwhelmingly fortunate in South Australia. Not only have we been able to continue presenting exceptional artists from interstate, our luck improves yet again in this season: two world-class artists will also be joining us from overseas. Legendary British pianist Stephen Hough returns to UKARIA in September, courtesy of his dual citizenship of Australia and the UK. We're also delighted to welcome the Principal Horn of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Katy Woolley, for a recital with Konstantin Shamray. Katie Noonan's new Australian Vocal Ensemble makes its debut; Emily Sun, Richard Narroway and Vatche Jambazian celebrate their collective homecomings, and James Crabb leads a star-studded ensemble inspired by Astor Piazzolla's original quintet. The Winter–Spring season culminates with the Australian Chamber Orchestra's inaugural UKARIA festival.
