Belgian Beer - Tested and Tasted Kevin Verstrepen & Miguel Roncoroni Vague and subjective descriptions of beer are now a thing of the past. Here is finally the ultimate beer book in which passion meets science. For two years, a team of scientists from the Flemish Institute for Biotechnology and KU Leuven subjected 250 different Belgian beers to thorough chemical analyses and an objective panel of scientific guinea pigs. The result is this complete guide, that – for the first time ever – fully breaks down the complex composition of our favourite drink in an understandable way.
Kevin Verstrepen is a genetics professor and beer scientist at the Catholic University of Leuven. In collaboration with Miguel Roncoroni and a team of 15 scientists, he worked for years on the chemical analysis, blind testing and objective comparison of the 250 beers in this guide.

Fiona Morrison, however, has wine friends all over the world and thus the keys to unlock the most reticent of vineyards and wine cellars. Fiona visits the most renowned wineries in Europe. She talks and observes, tastes and enjoys. She has written a lovely book about it, in which she seeks to find the roots of the Marchesi di Frescobaldi, immerses us into the microcosm of Egon Müller’s mythical Schwarzhof wines and tells us with passion about her own family Thienpont, known, among other things, from Le Pin in Pomerol. Fiona’s stories are lively and fascinating. A delightful read. The ten wine families: • Marchesi di Frescobaldi, Florence, Italy • Weingut Emmerich Knoll, Wachau, Austria • Famille Thienpont, Bordeaux, France • Descendientes Palacios, Bierzo, Rioja, Priorat, Spain • Niepoort Ports & Wines, Douro valley, Portugal • Familia Torres, Penedes, Spain • Gaja, Barbaresco, Italy • Egon Müller, Schwarzhof, Moselle, Germany • Famille Perin, Rhône, France • Comte Liger Belair, Burgundy, France

The book is the nearest anyone will get to unhurried and unembarrassed visits to some of the world's most precious properties. – Renowned wine writer Hugh Johnson
Fiona Morrison is a winemaker, wine merchant and world-renowned wine expert. Taste the Sea Cooking with seaweed Anne Fleur Sanders, Anya van de Wetering, photography Bella Thewes Scientists and foodies consider seaweed to be the ingredient of the future An accessible and inspiring book with delicious dishes New title in the series following the success title Edible Wild Plants Seaweed is seen as the ingredient for the future by both scientists and foodies. It’s delicious, multifaceted, sustainable and it contains the fifth taste: umami. Eating seaweed also has a positive effect on your body, because it contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and good fats. Furthermore, growing seaweed sustainably has become a priority for the industry. In most European countries there are already more than 10 different types of seaweed available, all different in shape, taste and cooking method. In Taste the Sea, Anne Fleur Sanders outlines the characteristics of different seaweeds and she gives surprising recipes for vegetarian dishes such as sea spaghetti with burrata, roasted tomatoes and basil, for dishes where seaweeds are combined with fish or shellfish such as arame salad with trout and ginger dressing and for sweet dishes such as chlorella meringues. The descriptions and recipes of Anne Fleur Sanders, the styling of Anya van de Wetering and Kamer 465, and the photography of Bella Thewes make Taste the Sea a fantastic book which inspires to get to work with seaweed!

Mahy A family of cars Michel Mahy, photography Wouter Rawoens A world-famous vintage car collection, in breath-taking pictures Hundreds of vintage cars that have never been accessible to the public A must-have for car enthusiasts and lovers of faded splendour The vintage car collection of the Belgian Mahy family is world-famous. These days the collection consists of 1,100 cars (from 1895 onwards) and is one of the most complete collections of car history in the world. A part of the collection (approximately 400 cars) can be seen in the Autoworld museum in Brussels or in the Mahy family's own museum in Leuze-en-Hainaut. But... most of the collection (approximately 700 cars) is safely stored away in large hangars that are not open to the public. Unique specimens, whose very existence is sometimes no longer suspected. The cars are unrestored and the ambience is unique, almost cerebral. Car enthusiasts would give good money for a guided tour there... Those who love faded splendour and the beauty of nostalgia fall silent at the sight.

This becomes clear thanks to this inspiration book for enthusiasts of architecture and cars. ROA Codex Lucy Lippard, Johan Braeckman, et al. The art monograph of the year: the world falls for ROA Put together by ROA, who has never before been available for a book or an interview The full work ‘codex’ from one of the biggest street artists in the world, who worked a.o. with U2
Fascinated by nature, the anonymous street artist ROA likes to get inspired the beauty. However, he doesn’t shy away from the flipside of the brutal animal kingdom, which immediately gives food for discussion among art lovers. Lonely foxes, copulating rats, quiet crows with closed eyes of which you don’t know if they are sleeping peacefully or have died a long time ago… With a lot of attention to detail he applies his black and white signature drawings of endemic endangered species on buildings all over the world, from Moscow to Mexico City, and from Los Angeles to London. ROA is a pseudonym for an anonymous, contemporary street artist from Ghent. His works are on buildings in several cities in Europe, the United States, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia. He regularly participates in street art festivals and also collaborates from time to time with galleries from all over the world. ROA is also shown at ‘Magic City: The Art of The Street’. A touring exposition with around forty renowned street artists, including Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Blek le Rat, Faith 47 and Ron English. 245 x 300 mm | ca. 352 pages | ca. 30,000 words full colour illustrations | hardcover | all rights available English manuscript in production

Peaks of Europe Johan Lolos Johan Lolos is a pioneering travel photography influencer with more than 465,000 followers on Instagram The impressive result of a 145-day road trip of 40,000 km across 17 countries More than 200 photos, many of which are unpublished, will take you through Europe’s three major regions: the North, the Balkans and the Alps
145 days. 17 countries. 1 road trip. 40,000 km travelled. Many people met. Peaks of Europe is not a traditional landscape photography book. It’s the result of a 5-month adventure across 17 countries told through the lens of a European travel photographer who took 29 years to finally explore the continent where he was born. Peaks of Europe has been designed for a specific purpose: telling the story of his road trip and what it takes to be living out of a car for several months, with all the good and bad moments. For this project, Johan Lolos wasn’t just documenting the landscapes. This book features a series of photos with a focus on the storytelling as much as the imagery. At the end, the people he met were what he remembered most. From the Arctic island of Spitsbergen in the Svalbard archipelago, to Greece’s largest island where Lolos walked in the footsteps of his ancestors in Crete, Peaks of Europe showcases the large variety of landscapes that makes Europe so diverse and unique. As a travel photographer with a fascination for human interactions, he also tried to portray different cultures through all the people he met during his journey.

The Atlas on the Old Flemish Masters Gunter Hauspie 195 x 240 mm 192 pages full colour illustrations hardcover all rights available English edition in production
A unique atlas-based approach Culture and tourism harmoniously united in one book Includes practical routes that help readers to discover for themselves: city walks, car routes, museum visits etc. A three-part compendium presenting the three most globally influential Old Flemish Masters: - The Rubens Atlas - The Van Eyck Atlas - The Bruegel Atlas Together these books make up The Atlas on the Flemish Masters. More than striving for artistic comprehensiveness in terms of art history, these atlases are intended to reflect the context in which the artists lived, worked and flourished. Just think of the artistic exchange between Italy and Flanders, the influence of the Catholic Church and the religious strife of the time, the role of art promotors, etc. It goes without saying that the atlases are richly adorned with the work of the artists. The main goal of the books is to encourage and help readers to further discover the Old Master's work and the locations they lived.
Gunter Hauspie is a historian and an experienced travel journalist who is regularly published in both Belgian and international travel magazines. To date, he has written over a dozen travel guides.
