colourSWITCH function: a conventional pushbutton can be used to control the system via colourSWITCH. Use of pushbutton with indicator lamp is not permitted. If the device is controlled via DALI/DSI, colourSWITCH is not available. For control via a pushbutton different settings can be made:
• Short press: setting the colour temperature via colourSWITCH mode with 9 values between 2,700 and 6,500 K.
• Long press (> 1 s): stepless setting of colour temperature. After completion the colour temperature direction will be inverted. The dim level is saved at power-down and restored at power-up. When the pushbutton is held, LED modules are dimmed. After releasing and pushing the LED modules are dimmed in the opposite direction. In installations with LED Drivers with different dimming levels or opposite dimming directions (e.g. after a system extension), all LED Drivers can be synchronized to 50 % dimming level by a 10 s push. STEP 1): Drill a hole in the false ceiling.
STEP 2): Bend the installation bracket to 90°. Attach one end of the supplied safety cable inside the false ceiling and the other to the fixture’s safety hole. Connect the ceiling light to the driver using the quick connector and connect the driver to the mains.
STEP 3): Lift the installation springs and insert that side of the fixture.
STEP 4): Repeat with the opposite side, ensuring the fixture is fully secured in place.
STEP 1): Remove three panels from the ceiling T-beams.
STEP 2): Detach the springs from the fixture.
STEP 3): Position the fixture to rest on the T-beams
STEP 4): Bend the installation bracket to 90°, then attach the supplied safety cable inside the false ceiling and to the safety hole on the fixture.
STEP 5): Connect the ceiling light to the driver using the quick connector and connect the driver to the mains.
STEP 6): Reinsert the removed panels in the T-beams.
STEP 1): Drill holes in the ceiling to align with the fixture’s mounting points and insert the supplied wall plugs.

The UGR (unified glare rating) is an international unified measure developed by the CIE (Commission International de l’Eclairage) to assess the direct glare generated by a lighting system. Casambi is an advanced automation lighting control system, the simplest and natural way to control your own lamps. It is a bluetooth low energy (BLE). It is a bluetooth low energy (BLE) solution. BLE is a latest generation wireless technology and the only low-voltage wireless. Thanks to the intuitive simplicity of the app anyone can create and manage a lighting network singlehandedly by controlling every fixture individually or in groups depending on the needs and the functions required, using a smart phone or any other mobile device. Casambi technology can be integrated into luminaires, LED-drivers and even within LED-modules or bulbs, creating an optimal solution in terms of ease of installation and functionality with minimal additional hardware and deployment costs.
The Casambi devices are smart on their own. All the intelligence is replicated in each node leaving no single point of failure. The system itself is in constant consensus based synchronisation.
WIRELESS & BLUETOOTH LOW ENERGY
The Casambi network is based on the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol, which is the most energy ecient and future proof of wireless technologies. The low energy functionality of BLE allows developers to make products that run on small coincell batteries or energyharvesting devices, making BLE the best protocol to be used in wireless lighting control applications.

MAIN FEATURES
CONNECTED
The Casambi devices are connected when needed. An Internet connection is not necessary for general operation and day to day functionality. Bluetooth Low Energy is already implemented in smartphones and tablets, so communication can be done without any additional gateways.
NO GATEWAYS
BLE was built for Internet of Things (IoT) and has been implemented in all modern smartphones, tablets and even smart watches since the beginning of 2012. This means that no gateway modules or any kind of dongle is needed to control lighting via BLE, which makes a BLE - based lighting control solution more cost effective than solutions built on other wireless technologies.
USER FRIENDLY
The system is intuitive. When connecting for the first time nodes are automatically pairing. The system can be used and modified by anyone, no commissioning experts are needed.
COMMUNICATION

All Casambi units form a wireless mesh network. The mesh network contains an algorithm that drives towards a consensus state between each participant. Once consensus is reached the communication will stop. If a unit goes oine it is no longer considered to be part of the consensus group but once it comes back online it will join the group again and catch up with others. In this way the casambi network is more like a consensus based syncronisation engine, rather than a classic mesh network. The communication range between two Casambi units is highly dependant on the surrounding and obstacles, such as walls and building materials. In indoor environments the range can be up to 30 m and in outdoor conditions up to 50 m. It is recommended to make communication tests in environments with a lot of signal disturbing materials. Longer ranges can be achieved by using multiple Casambi units. It is also important to consider that in the majority of applications either the user with a smart device or adjacent luminaires containing Casambi units are only ever 5 to 10 meters away from each other to provide excellent reliability in the communication network.
APP AND FEATURES
With Casambi, lighting can be controlled via smartphones, tablets, smart watches, push buttons, switches or wireless switch. To access all the functionality of the Casambi networks an app is needed. The app can be downloaded for free from Apple App Store or Google Play Store with the name Casambi. The Casambi app is continuously update to mantein compatibility with operating systems.

Built-in stepDIM RADAR SENSOR (sub-code -19): an electronic device that immediately detects any presence entering its range. When the sensor reads motion inside its range, lights will stay on. When it no longer senses motion and based on the lighting level in its range the sensor will either dim lights after a standby time according to the defined step or turn them off after a pre-programmed time.
The package includes a standard remote control, allowing you to quickly and easily adjust or change parameters after installation, without the need to access the device directly.
ON OFF Press the “ON/OFF” button to toggle the light on/off, disabling the sensor. Short press the “M/R” button to activate the sensor.
Short press the “DIM+/DIM-” button to adjust brightness. The level of brightness will adjust in 5% increments, from 50% to 100%. M/R Short press the “M/R” button to restore all parameters back to the last settings. Long press the “M/R” button to reset all parameters to factory settings.
Stand-by dim level: sets the stand-by dim level to 10%/30%.
EXAMPLE OF SAFETY MODE OPERATION (LIGHTING LEVEL OFF)
