The Brantford IceCats include 5 first nation players, 4 from Six Nations, Madison White, Yonteserontyes Brant, Sky Bomberry and Cadence Johnson, 1 from Curve Lake, Josephine Knott-Wright. A total of 75 players tried out for the team that finished the season by capturing the BGHA Walter Gretzky tournament over the #1 seeded team in Ontario (Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds), finishing second in the provincial playoff championships, as well as taking down the U11 provincial championship game in triple overtime with a game winning goal from Six Nations own Yonteserontyes Brant. In Addition to this phenomenal season, the team was recently named the Brant Sport SUBMITTED PHOTO Council Team of the year.
