SEVERAL TWEED Coast residents are expressing concerns with the continued erosion of Fingal Head’s beaches this month. The Weekly spoke with some advocates
for the coastline and they’re concerned the levels of sand pumping could be one of the issues. “We (NSW) basically pay millions of dollars a year to have our beaches de-
stroyed,” one local said. “We’re giving too much sand to Queensland and receiving inadequate dredging of the Tweed River mouth.” Read more on Page 5.
