especially those relocating from southern states or the Gold Coast for a more relaxed lifestyle.
Is there anything different you are noticing with buyers and sellers and the market in general at the moment?
“Glenelg” - Timeless elegance
The market feels a bit more balanced lately. Buyers are becoming a little more considered in their decisions compared to the peak frenzy a few years ago, and sellers are adjusting their expectations accordingly. Quality, well-presented properties are still moving quickly, though.
Do you have any particular types of property you feel you have more expertise or interest in? We tend to have a bit of a soft spot for coastal homes & acreage lifestyle properties — We enjoy showcasing the kind of details that make those homes special.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Outside of work, our family loves spending time outdoors — whether it’s walking the beaches, exploring the hinterland, or catching up with friends at one of the local cafés. It’s such a great region for an active and social lifestyle.

AFTER MUCH consideration, “Glenelg” Murwillumbah — the cherished circa‑1902 Queenslander that has long been part of Murwillumbah’s streetscape and story — is being offered for sale, marking the beginning of a new chapter for this local landmark. Commanding the premier elevated position in Murwillumbah's much-sought after Hospital Hill enclave, "Glenelg" is a beautifully restored home, offering heritage elegance and a breathtaking outlook. Set on a generous 1,410m² allotment, the home enjoys sweeping panoramic views across Murwillumbah, the Tweed River, the Wollumbin Caldera and Springbrook Ranges. Upstairs is a three bedroom sanctuary with expansive living spaces, and verandas designed for lounging and dining in comfort. Below, the ground-level apartment provides an intimate retreat—a self-contained onebedroom haven with its own private spa and courtyard garden. Established gardens, adjoining a council reserve and a quiet nothrough road ensure rare privacy just minutes from town. “Glenelg” offers walkability to world-class restaurants, art venues,

the award-winning Northern Rivers Rail Trail, and easy access to the stunning Tweed Coast beaches, rainforest walks and quirky hinterland villages. In recent years, “Glenelg” has become known as an established, boutique, short‑term accommodation business, with many repeat guests who have formed a genuine connection with the home and with Murwillumbah itself. The decision to sell has been made carefully and with respect for Glenelg’s history and its place in the community. It is business as usual for now, with existing bookings continuing and guests being kept informed about any decisions of future owners. That gives buyers immediate income potential but also an exceptional multigenerational living opportunity for an owner occupier. More than a real estate listing, this feels like a moment of transition for a place many locals know well — raising questions about what comes next for one of Murwillumbah’s most recognisable homes. “Glenelg” is at 2 Bent Street and is for sale with Wally Trankle at Ray White Rural Murwillumbah.
