The Annual Symposium on the Conservation and Biology of Tortoises and Freshwater Turtles is a cornerstone event for those advancing turtle science and conservation. Co-hosted by Turtle Survival Alliance and the IUCN SSC Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Specialist Group, this conference showcases the latest research findings, emerging technologies, and project updates from on-theground conservation efforts across the field With more than 300 participants representing diverse disciplines and regions, the event offers an unparalleled platform for exchanging knowledge, gaining practical insights, and exploring new approaches to safeguard threatened turtle and tortoise species.
SymposiumProgramming
Each year, the Symposium offers a wide-ranging slate of programming designed to educate, connect, and inspire. Attendees can expect a mix of dynamic sessions, interactive workshops, and opportunities for networking This year marks a milestone the first time the Symposium will be hosted outside of the United States opening the door for broader international participation, especially from across Latin America and South America
