Traffic with TTW

Over 20 years of long-term partnerships with both public and private institutions, TTW has offered an integrated suite of traffic and transport engineering services. Our TTW Traffic Engineering team has a superior track record in providing engineering studies and investigations for hospitals, educational facilities, public institutions, shopping centres, residential developments, town centres, transport hubs, and industrial sites.

No matter the project size, type, or complexity, our engineers focus on delivering high-quality advice and sound solutions. We bring creativity and innovation to your project, from planning through to design and implementation.

OUR TRAFFIC CAPABILITIES

„ Traffic impact assessments

„ Intersection modelling

„ Road safety audits

„ Design advice

„ Construction traffic management plans

„ Sustainable transport plans

Our traffic team do not just undertake ‘number crunching’ to provide data. We investigate options, which often involves doing design to ensure the most optimum and practical outcomes.”

Our Capabilities

Traffic Impact Assessments

TTW provides com prehensive documentation to support development applications, ensuring authorities have the data needed to assess projects favourably. We handle projects from local residential applications to significant state-level developments.

Intersection Modelling

Using advanced SIDRA software, TTW identifies and resolves potential issues in intersection design. Our team evaluates various configurations (signals, roundabouts, etc.) to recommend solutions that minimise congestion and optimise traffic flow for single intersections or local networks.

Road Safety Audits

Our certified auditors assess design safety at all project stages, identifying risks related to sight distance, geometry, lighting, and pedestrian interactions to enhance user safety.

Design Advice

TTW ensures traffic designs are efficient and user-friendly, from car parks to access points. Detailed vehicle analysis helps meet compliance standards and site needs.

Construction Traffic Management Plans (CTMPs)

We develop customised CTMPs to manage traffic during construction, reducing delays and ensuring safety. Plans cover site access, vehicle management, and local traffic impacts.

Sustainable Transport Plans

Our team is experienced in developing strategies to promote public transport, walking and cycling, reducing congestion and environmental impact. We provide a variety of purpose-built planning and operational documents which help improve sustainable travel options in collaboration with local authorities.

Our team ensures that traffic-related designs are practical, workable, and userfriendly from paper to pavement.

Project Solutions

Loreto Normanhurst, NSW

We were brought on to solve the challenges that came with a new campus wide, staged approach to development with a 30-year master plan designed to almost double the student number cap on site. Loreto Normanhurst included 10 additional building envelopes, new pedestrian and vehicular circulation, new car parking, and new landscaping.

The project works included solving challenges that led to the development previously being rejected by authorities, providing SSDA to support the redesign, presentation at the Independent Planning Commission, and construction phase services during Stage 1 of the development.

TTW employs the latest technology to optimise effective traffic design, bolster sustainable and healthy travel options and ensure safety during construction and site use phases.

Edmondson Park North and Edmondson Park South, NSW

Part of the NSW Government’s Commuter Car Park Program, our Traffic Engineering team provided create design solutions to unlock the potential of the new Edmondson Park North and Edmondson Park South in Sydney’s southwest.

These two new car parks provide 2,000 additional parking spaces including accessible parking and electric vehicle charging stations, new pedestrian paths and Park&Ride controls to provide free parking for public transport users. We provided design solutions and optioneering through the tender and ECI phase, ongoing design development during detailed design and construction, traffic modelling, a CTMP to safely manage construction vehicle movements and road safety audits for ongoing design improvement.
