WHAT DOES AN INTERNSHIP OR CO-OP LOOK LIKE AT TTL?
Throughout your TTL internship or co-op, you will gain hands-on experience working with your supervisor/mentor working within your engineering discipline while learning how our services support each other.

CIVIL ENGINEERING
Civil engineers have a broad range of responsibilities in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects.
From project planning and site investigations to traffic engineering and regulatory compliance, civil engineers’ contribution to projects have a lasting impact on transportation, water resources, and the overall amenities of a community.
TRANSPORTATION DESIGN & CEI
Transportation design and construction engineering inspection (CEI) are integral components of the planning, design, and execution of transportation infrastructure projects.
As design engineers create the plans and specifications, CEI professionals oversee the construction phase so that the design intent is faithfully executed and the final product meets safety, quality, and functionality standards. The collaboration between these two roles is essential for successful and sustainable transportation infrastructure development.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTING
To make sure projects comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards, our professionals assess the potential environmental impacts and develop strategies to minimize or mitigate any negative effects. This involves conducting environmental impact assessments, analyzing air and water quality, assessing soil contamination, and identifying potential risks.
GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
With their specialized understanding of geology and managing of the interactions between structures and the Earth’s subsurface, our geotechnical professionals focus on the mechanical, thermal, and hydraulic behavior of soil and rock.
We contribute essential expertise to projects so structures are built on solid foundations and can withstand the unique challenges presented by the Earth’s subsurface conditions.

ENGINEERING & TESTING
Construction materials engineering and testing verifies the quality, safety, and durability of construction projects. Our professionals work to assess and verify the properties of materials used in construction to maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
