What’s the poi nt of Later Livi ng & Care?
There are different models of care and support delivered in Trust’s housing developments across Scotland.
Our aim is to ensure that, wherever possible, a customer never has to give up their tenancy and leave just because their care and support needs increase.
Later Living Care takes the existing Landlord and Meals services already being delivered by Trust and adds care and support to meet individuals’ personal care needs. This means that an extended team of staff are able to meet Trust customers’ care and support requirements in a person-centred way.
Wi ll the i ntroduction of Later Li vi ng & Care affect what I pay to Trust each month? No, there should be no change to the amount you pay to Trust each month. Your care and support charge is payable to the Council and is based on your ability to pay.

We hope to reduce the need for current and new customers to move into residential/nursing care in the future. We also intend to deliver care when you require it, not just when it suits us to provide it! Care will be flexibly delivered by a small team of staff and you can expect consistency and continuity in who delivers your care and support.
I already receive personal care deli vered by the Counci l or a pri vate provi der. We hope that all customers currently receiving personal care services will have these delivered by Trust staff in the future. However, if you feel strongly about continuing with an existing service provider, we will accommodate that.
