HAPPY NEW YEAR! Go Warriors! Superintendent, Toby Gibson

Happy New Year, Warrior Family! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season with family and friends. It’s hard to believe we have just passed the halfway point in the 2022-2023 school year, and I look forward to more great things from our students and staff as we finish the year.

We continue to work towards fulfilling our “3 Big Rocks” and two district goals by laying a foundation that will help our students build for future success. This year, we are offering several new classes that are undoubtedly providing an enhanced educational experience. Students are operating robots, flying drones, building furniture, running businesses, participating in

BMS Construction Update

Grades 5-8 to End School Year with Remote Learning

BMS Restroom

As most of you know, the district has been dealing with an expansive soil (shale) issue under a section of the middle school hallway since the new K-12 building was opened in August of 2011. There have been a couple of temporary fixes to the section of hallway over the years, but a permanent solution is currently underway.

Phase one of the process began in October and addressed water drainage / shed on the outside of the building. Phase two will begin towards the end of May and includes the removal and replacement of sections of hallway floor and the expansive soil underneath. To help facilitate this project and keep it on schedule, middle school students will finish the 2022-2023 school year remotely. Students' last day of in-person learning will be Wednesday, May 10. There will be no classes May 11 or 12 to allow teachers time to prepare for online learning. Students' first day of remote learning will be Monday, May 15. Litigation to recoup the district’s cost of the project (36%) continues through the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
