FUTURE TROJAN,

As you continue to explore the many opportunities at Troy University, we’d like to introduce you to one of the most exciting aspects of campus life – Greek life. Our fraternities and sororities offer a unique chance to form lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills and give back to the community.

Greek life at TROY is about more than just social events; it’s about becoming part of something bigger than yourself. Our Greek organizations are committed to personal growth, academic achievement and community service. By joining a fraternity or sorority, you’ll gain access to an unparalleled support system, opportunities for leadership and a chance to be part of a network that will last a lifetime.

Here’s what you can expect from Greek life at Troy University:

• Leadership Opportunities: Greek organizations offer numerous leadership roles that will help you develop skills to succeed both on and off campus.

• Philanthropy and Community Service: Greek life is known for its dedication to giving back. Our chapters host numerous events and fundraisers to support causes both locally and nationally.

• Academic Support: Greek organizations value academics and offer study sessions, tutoring and other resources to help you succeed in your classes.

• Social Engagement: Greek Life hosts social events that allow you to connect with other students in a fun and supportive environment.

Recruitment for Greek life is an exciting and informative process where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about each chapter, meet members and see if there’s an organization that feels like the perfect fit for you. It’s an excellent way to meet new people, find your community and get involved in activities that make a positive impact on campus and beyond.

I hope you’ll consider joining us in this exciting aspect of campus life at Troy University. Greek life can be an incredible part of your college experience, and I look forward to seeing how it will help you grow as a leader and a person.

Sincerely,

WHAT WE BELIEVE GREEK PHILANTHROPY BENEFICIARIES

Troy University Greek life is committed to fostering academic excellence, leadership, service and lifelong personal growth. The Greek community places a strong emphasis on academics, offering support programs that help members maintain high GPAs. Through accountability and encouragement within their chapters, members are inspired to reach their academic goals. Leadership development is also a key aspect of Greek involvement, with members participating in a range of programs designed to prepare ethical leaders for life beyond college. Service is another vital part of Greek life at Troy University. Members engage in impactful service opportunities that not only benefit the community but also instill a lifelong commitment to giving back. Our sororities and fraternities provide a supportive and enriching environment where students grow through service, campus engagement and leadership experiences — building lasting friendships and leaving a legacy of positive impact on both Troy University and the surrounding community. Together, all of our Greek organizations work to uphold these values and make a meaningful difference.

Troy University Greek philanthropy supports a wide range of local and national organizations through dedicated fundraising and volunteer efforts of our fraternities and sororities. Our Greek community commits time and energy to causes such as children’s health, education, hunger relief and assistance for individuals with disabilities. Notable beneficiaries of TROY Greek philanthropy include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, the American Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House, Children’s Miracle Network, the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, Jeep Sullivan’s Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures, along with numerous local food banks and community shelters. Through events like charity walks, Greek Week, auctions, raffles and community service initiatives, TROY Greek life makes a significant impact not only on the Troy University campus and the local community but also on national and global organizations.

INTERFRATERNITY COUNCIL

Fraternities, both at TROY and worldwide, thrive when their members live by the core values set by their founders many years ago. The men of Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Kappa Epsilon, FarmHouse, Lambda Chi Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Chi and Tau Kappa Epsilon choose fraternity life for the brotherhood it offers. If you’re wondering why fraternity life is worth it, it’s because many fraternities teach the value of lifelong relationships, professional development, leadership, academics, social opportunities and philanthropy.
