Leadership Toledo Annual Community Breakfast The need for strong leadership and community connection remains great and ongoing. In order to continue to provide free, meaningful curriculum to high school students across the Toledo region, Trinity's building partner, Leadership Toledo, depends on the generosity of sponsors, partners, and donors like you. Join them on Thursday, October 14 at Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel for the 17th annual Community Breakfast Fundraiser to support Leadership Toledo's youth programs . There is no cost to attend, and
prepares and delivers lunch to the vendors of our community partner, Toledo Streets Newspaper (TSN). Trinity will gather to pack lunches on Thursday, October 21st, and we need YOUR help! Trinity will purchase the food but we will need 4-5 volunteers to help prepare lunches, and deliver them to the TSN offices.
Trinity Book Club Trinity’s book club will meet again on Sunday, October 31st, 6:308:00pm. We are reading Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. Trinity’s book club strives to read fictional works that you wouldn’t necessarily find in a religious bookstore; rather, literary pieces in which we can explore “God moments”. DIOCESE OF OHIO BrownBag Concert at Trinity Cathedral Music & Art at Trinity Cathedral begins the 43rd year of their BrownBag concert series on October 6 with an organ spectacular unveiling Trinity’s new Muller/Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ and featuring performances by Music Director Todd Wilson and Associate Organist Nicole Keller. All concerts in the series take place every other Wednesday through December at 12:00 p.m. and are free of charge. This season, the concerts are offered as an in-person event as well as being livestreamed on Facebook and the Trinity Cathedral website. More details on the programs are available online.
Diocesan Youth Event Volunteer Opportunity
Call for LGBTQ+ Episcopalians of all ages! The upcoming youth event is centered on identity, inclusion, and allyship. We are looking for Episcopalians who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community to join us for storytelling and relationship-building on Saturday, November 6 in the afternoon/evening in Toledo. The youth will be reflecting on topics such as terminology and intersectionality; scripture and tradition; queer history and advocacy/policy; and mental health and allyship. If you are able to join us to talk about your experiences, or feel equipped to lead a session on one of the above topics in an informal/relational setting, please contact the Rev. Anna Sutterisch, Canon for Christian Formation, at asutterisch@dohio.org.
