On behalf of Trinity Academy, I want to extend a warm welcome to everyone here today. We are honored to have you join us, and we hope this event will be a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
A special welcome goes out to our guests. We appreciate the spirit of competition you bring and look forward to a game that reflects the best of sportsmanship and respect. Events like this are not only about what happens on the field but also about the community and fellowship built among students, parents, and supporters. We’re grateful to have you here.

As we cheer on our athletes, let’s remember that sports are a powerful tool for building character. Win or lose, it’s the lessons learned and the integrity displayed that truly matter. We encourage all fans to support our student-athletes in ways that uplift and inspire, and to respect the officials who play a vital role in making this contest possible.
Your safety and comfort are important to us. If you need assistance at any point, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our staff members.
Above all, we pray that our athletes see this as a privilege to use their God-given talents to honor and glorify Jesus in all they say and do. We are truly grateful for your presence here today, and we look forward to a memorable event for everyone.
Thank you for being here, and enjoy the game!

Head tennis coach Tom Wierman picked up tennis later in life when he attended a cardio tennis class at the gym and got hooked. He loves the game and loves learning everything he can about it. “Learning never stops,” says Wierman. “There is something to be learned every day, and the skills learned on the court can be valuable life lessons.” Wierman has been involved in coaching various youth sports like soccer over the years. He began as the assistant tennis coach at Trinity in 2023 and was promoted to head coach of both the boys and girls teams in 2024.
Eric Carroll coached the Trinity cross country team to several State championships. The girls placed 2nd and the boys placed 3rd at State last year. Eric has been running since middle school, competing at the high school level and running briefly at Wichita State University. He also ran with the Inner-America Racing Team. “My goal is to develop the unique gifts that God has given these kids and to build in them a confidence that they can take in life way past running. I hope to build discipline in them to help develop their character,” he said.
Andy Hackett joined the coaching staff at Trinity in 2023. He began by coaching the girls team and was named All-Metro coach of the year. He led the girls team to 2nd place at State that year. In 2024, he was named the boys coach as well and coached the boys to a State championship. Hackett has an extensive background in soccer. He played semi-professionally for the Armed Forces Europe soccer team when stationed in Europe, played for the All-Air Force team, and played at South Puget Sound Community College in Washington.
John Messman has played golf since he was 13 years old. He loves the sport and he loves sharing what he knows with young people. Messman became the head girls golf coach in 2024.
Coach Schadler has an impressive athletic and leadership background. In 2014, he was named the Barry Sanders Male Athlete of the Year for the state of Kansas, after leading the nation with 14.1 yards per carry. He was a first-team all-state running back and defensive back for Hesston High School, a Shrine Bowl participant, and a state champion in basketball and track and field. Schadler played college football at the University of Kansas, where he was an All-Big 12 Kickoff Returner and still ranks fourth in KU history in kickoff return yards. Post-college, he was invited to workouts with the Kansas City Chiefs, several CFL teams, and even the U.S. Bobsled team. He has worked as a certified personal trainer, served on the strength and conditioning staff at Friends University, and coached defensive backs at Friends. He currently serves as associate pastor at Vima Church in Wichita and has taught 8th grade Bible at Trinity. Schadler holds a master’s degree in Christian Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Kathy Morris has coached cheer at Trinity off and on since 2003. She was a varsity cheerleader at Kansas State University and a part of the Universal Cheerleaders Association National Championship Team. Morris says it is good for girls to strive for excellence in cheer, but far more important for them to strive for excellence in their walks with Christ. y. At Newman, Melissa set a school record for solo blocks during her junior year, made the All-Conference team her junior and senior years,

Katelyn Moore-Turner played for Douglass High School, where she was named all-state three years in a row and earned the 3A state volleyball player of the year title her senior year. She went on to compete at the University of Central Missouri as a defensive specialist/libero and later at McPherson College, where she was named to the all-conference team. Moore-Turner joined Trinity as an assistant coach in 2024 and has spent the past five years coaching for Shockwave and Showtime club volleyball programs. She was named to Trinity’s head coaching position in 2025.
