CHAPTER HOME IMPROVEMENTS

MARCH 21, 2026

University of Wisconsin Triangle Formal

6:00 PM 114 E. Walker St., Milwaukee, WI

Hosted by Alumni Relations, this year’s Formal will bring together actives and alumni for an evening of celebration and brotherhood. All alumni are welcome.

In 2025 our chapter home saw many improvements and many projects were set into motion. The old porch at 144 Breese Terrace was demolished, the concrete pillars reinforced and leveled, and a new porch built in its place with stairs and railings up to the new city of Madison code standards. In 148, the kitchen cabinets were replaced with custom built cabinets, with the old counter top being reused and in good order. Twenty-eight new windows are being installed throughout both houses, with approval from the Madison Landmarks Commission as the

house exists within the University Heights Historic District.

Custom double hung wooden windows are replacing the wooden windows in the living room, while single hung fiberglass windows will replace the old windows elsewhere. Additionally, over winter break we resurfaced and painted our basement floors.

Fall Recruitment

By all means, I would consider the Fall ‘25 rush a success. We initiated 12 new brothers into Triangle and started with even more, being our largest new member class in a few semesters. We also updated most of our rush materials and started new forms of outreach that will certainly prove successful for future rushes.

In all, I am extremely grateful to have been elected to this position and am glad that I was able to perform well for the good of the chapter I believe that we are now in a good spot in terms of recruitment and have high hopes that the chapter will flourish in the future

Chapter and Brotherhood Update

Brothers, it is with great pride that I share with you the progress of our chapter this past year. At this past Herbert Scobie Leadership Conference (July 2025), our chapter was nationally recognized in the fields of Risk Management and

Academic Accomplishment. This past Fall, we also initiated 12 new brothers! I am looking forward to seeing the growth of these men as they work through their academic and professional careers.

Brotherhood has also been put on an upward trajectory, thanks to the efforts of Brother Sumner Born and his subordinates in presenting a rich catalog of brotherhood events to bring the chapter together.

I also take great pride in highlighting the efforts of Brother Daniel Guilette in working with our Alumni Board to secure contracts for major improvements to the house, namely, upgrading the windows. I hope that the example set by these men begins to shine through in the dealings of our newest members and leaders.

2025 President, Zach Sadovsky wis’23

Alumni Board Updates

The past year has been very busy for the Wisconsin Triangle Chapter. The Alumni Board is more active than ever, approving projects to replace the front porch outside the 144 house, approving the replacement of the kitchen cabinets, and working with our contractor and the city of Madison to get approval for replacing a majority of the windows in both historic houses Going forward we hope to provide quality updates to both houses to encourage more brothers (and future brothers) to partake in the riveting experience of living in the Triangle chapter house Our chapter coach and member of the Alumni Board, Ryan Buckner, has taken a proactive approach to improve the Alumni Board’s interaction with the active members, helping to ease the

transition between each Executive Board and set a renewed precedent of transparency, consistency, and teamwork between the active members and the Alumni Board.

The Alumni Board is also working closely with the active members to improve alumni relations and keep alumni (especially local alumni) more involved in the active chapter postgraduation, ideally creating a stronger network of resources for active members Over the past few rituals, the Wisconsin Chapter has initiated many brothers who are of strong character and drive, which will provide the chapter with a strong foundation going into the next few years.

SUPPORT WISCONSIN’S LEGACY

The Chapter Endowment Fund exists to help address individual chapter needs. The program is designed to provide additional funding to chapters each year to support educational, leadership, and academic programs that advance the mission of Triangle in building better men in the fields of engineering, architecture, and science.

The brothers, the chapter, and the house deeply appreciate your generosity; hundreds of generous brothers and friends have made their investment in the future of the Illinois Chapter of Triangle, and we still have opportunities for our most generous supporters to be recognized. Thank you for helping to support our Second Century!
