HOME IMPROVEMENTS This past year, the Triangle house has had a few major improvements. One of these improvements is the installation of a jacuzzi on the east side of the house where the brothers can go and relax together. The hot tub was given to us by one of the neighbors who needed it removed out of their house, so a few bothers got together and brought it home. In addition to the new hot tub, we have also purchased a grill for the brothers to improve their cooking skills which will also be used at various rush events in the fall. For maintenance, another big improvement is the repainting of the basement along with staining the trim around the house and the stairway railings. We are also looking at purchasing new lighting for the dayroom to allow brothers to better engage in late night study sessions. Looking at the future, we hope to get some new carpet in the main floor and upstairs hallways this summer as well as installing new windows in the rookie room that will match the trim on the rest of the house exterior. BROTHERHOOD DEVELOPMENT Over the last two semesters the brotherhood has had plenty of opportunities to come together and grow. The highlights include: two chapter visits, the super bowl party, and senior speeches. Our first chapter visit of the year was a return to the Kansas chapter after a not so successful trip last time. We got an opportunity to go to the TCU football game on Saturday and see what the Kansas brothers had to offer. Our second chapter visit was to Rose Tech, we were invited to their Maze Party. This trip was a great time for the brothers to visit a chapter most of us had never been to before. The boys were also able to see a couple other chapters including Illinois and Iowa State while on this trip. While some of the brothers went on this trip, I held the Super Bowl party at the house. The party was a big success the brotherhood had plenty of food and beverages to keep themselves well hydrated during the football game. The final highlight of the semester occurred just a week ago. The rooks had an opportunity to learn some wisdom that the seniors wanted to pass down to the newest brothers! The senior’s time was as informative and thought provoking as ever!
