Semester Snapshot

The chapter continued its strong commitment to academic excellence, finishing the fall semester with a 3.05 GPA and maintaining a 3.20 cumulative GPA Membership growth remains steady, with 13 new members initiated in the fall and 10 new members currently participating in the spring class. This semester, the chapter will also recognize outstanding brothers through several scholarships, including the Academic Excellence Scholarship, the Sean Powers Leadership & Excellence Scholarship, and the Service to Community Scholarship, which will be awarded following the chapter’s voting process.

Non-Profit Status

The nonprofit status for the alumni has been restored; we

are working towards setting up a new bank account to help with donations and working towards setting up a membership fee.

Upgrades to the House

During the summer, the fraternity home underwent extensive renovations that significantly improved the quality and functionality of the house. The project included a full replacement of all windows, installation of a new furnace, new flooring throughout the home, and the addition of an HVAC system. This marked the first time in the chapter home’s history that controlled air conditioning and heating were available, representing a major upgrade for the brothers. The renovation process lasted approximately three weeks and began with the removal of outdated materials such as old carpeting and

windows, along with relocating furniture and belongings to clear renovation areas.

From a financial standpoint, the Triangle Building Housing Corporation invested $150,000 into improving the Michigan State chapter home, which has served as the foundation of the chapter for over 70 years. This investment was made possible through careful planning and negotiations with a bank closely connected to fraternity and sorority life. Overall, the renovations reflect a strong commitment to stewardship and long-term planning, modernizing essential infrastructure while preserving a historic chapter home to better support the comfort, safety, and success of both current members and future generations of brothers.

Leadership Training Weekend

Attending LTW was a really eye-opening experience for me. I was fascinated by how other chapters operated and structured their leadership, and I found myself learning a lot just by observing and talking with members from different schools. Seeing the variety of approaches showed me new ways we could improve our own chapter, and it made me excited about implementing some of those ideas moving forward. I also felt significantly more confident and prepared as a leader after the weekend. LTW gave me practical tools, perspective, and motivation that I know will positively impact how I contribute to our chapter.

It’s an exciting six months ahead for Brother Gabriel Lipps! He’s graduating in May and celebrating the milestone with a month-long van trip before getting married in June. He’ll also be starting his full-time career this summer at a steel mill in Monroe, Michigan. Last semester, Gabriel interned in Pittsburgh with a major energy company, where he helped support the commissioning of natural gas compressor stations From travel to career to marriage, it’s a season of big adventures and even bigger milestones

Liam McNulty, msu22

Hi, I’m Liam. This summer, I’ll be joining Epic Systems as a Technical Solutions Engineer, where I’m excited to help improve the technology that supports healthcare delivery. I’m looking forward to applying the leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills I’ve developed through Triangle as I take on this role As I wrap up my final months before graduation, I plan to spend time with the brothers who played such an important role in shaping my college experience

Nicholas Piro, msu22

Electrical Engineering

Hi I’m Nick Piro, I’m a sophomore in MSU Triangle and I am the BMS Co-Lead for the MSU Solar Car team. This year, I partnered with Texas Instruments and designed a custom BMS PCB to replace the old system. This new system allows us complete control of the cell balancing, temperature control, and fault control for this version of the car The project will be prototyped, tested, and implemented all with the school year and will be used in racing capacity this July
