Through the Green Where do I place the rake? Outside and out of the way The USGA recommends placing rakes outside of bunkers and away from where they are likely to interfere with play. Ideally, you don’t want to place rakes across the line of play or in a location where they could trap balls in a difficult spot – e.g., within a bunker on a steep slope near the lip
Spread them out It’s important to keep rakes spaced out when replacing them because this makes it easier for people to use them. If a rake isn’t nearby some golfers are quick to skip raking altogether, which only means more tough lies for the rest of us.
There may not be a rule about where to place rakes on a golf course, but being thoughtful can reduce the risk of rakes interfering with play or maintenance, and can make it easier for our fellow golfers to actually use them. It certainly seems like some folks need all the encouragement they can get.

making the game more fun. While preparing for tournaments, such as the SEC Tournament and US Amateur this is one drill that was always part of my practice and pre-round routine.
Railroad Tracks
Equipment needed: -Putter -3 golf balls -2 golf clubs/alignment sticks Pick a hole on the practice green and find a straight putt from 3-4 feet. Once you have your spot picked, place the two clubs/alignment sticks on each side of the hole to make railroad tracks. Place the ball in the center of the railroad tracks and stroke the putt. This drill will not only help with your stroke but your confidence as well!
THE RULES OF HANDICAPPING Understanding your Handicap Index Your Handicap Index is a portable number that represents your demonstrated ability - but when it comes time to tee it up, that number is converted to a Course Handicap, which accounts for the difficulty of the course and tees played. Recreational Round - all you need to know is your Course Handicap, which is the number used to adjust hole scores for net double bogey and net par Course Handicap = Handicap Index * (Slope Rating/113) + (Course Rating - Par)
If you’re playing in a format for which a handicap allowance has been applied for equity (for example, 85% in four-ball stroke play), you’ll also have a Playing Handicap, which is the number used for the purposes of the game or competition. Playing Handicap = Course Handicap * Handicap Allowance + Difference In Par
