GETTING READY FOR A ROUND
Lower your scores
Getting ready for your round is crucial, but to play your best, there are a few key tips to propel you to your best score yet!
Lets change your mindset for just a minute. The 45 Minutes before your round can be an excellent opportunity for you to play your best golf. Whether it's for a tournament, or a casual money game with your friends, there is always something you can touch up on and improve Lets start with one change you can make. When you are on the range, start focusing and simulating shots that you will most likely face in the upcoming round. By doing this, you will be fully prepared when you head out to the first tee. One side note about "Practicing" vs. "Preparing." Practice is defined by the elements of your game that need the most work from week to week. Practice is like studying for a test. The more you study, the more prepared you will be.
Now lets shift gears toward putting. One club that can make or break your mindset is your putter. That is why finding the right speed and line before you head out is crucial. Start out small on the putting green with three balls from about 3feet. Focus on "rolling" the ball in rather than hitting "them" in. Once you build some confidence, move on to a greater distance of 10 feet. Focus on just your speed, not worrying about the line, but just speed. As a reminder, speed is the most important aspect in putting. Once your speed is dialed in, move back to 30 feet and this time focus on both your speed & line. All is takes is a few putts to drop to see your confidence level rise to al all-time high. Preparing for any round is so much easier when you have a plan in place and know what shots to hit!
