The air booking equation for travel advisors: Time, complexity and the value of expertise BY KATHRYN FOLLIOTT TORONTO — With all the new-toindustry advisors coming into the industry – and with so many travellers experiencing booking-overload – is now the time for experienced agents to attract new clients with their airbooking prowess? It’s an industry talking point with a lot of history. After the airline commission caps and cuts in the late-1990s and early 2000s, and with Air Canada’s cut as recently as this summer, over the years some agency owners have decided their business model could no longer sustain air bookings. It comes down to time, and resources, as one Ontario-based advisor told Travelweek. “We can’t keep up with demand [at our agency], and we have to allocate our time wisely.” It’s not just commission levels. NDC is still a big stumbling block. Advisor concerns about the lack of functionality with NDC platforms keep coming, after years of IATA and the airlines steering agencies to NDC bookings, often with a carrotand-stick approach with a fee for non-NDC bookings. Then there are the debit memos. Advisors say they’re seeing higherthan-average volumes of airline debit memos, up to 10 a day at one Ontario agency. “Normally we’d get maybe 10 a month,” said the owner. Another owner out west said she’s seeing more debit memos especially for booking segments
out of sequence. “We’re careful not to do this generally, but agents occasionally make a mistake and forget. These types of debit memos were almost never issued in the past. I believe everything is automated now and nothing gets through. Any little thing is caught.”
OWNING THE TRIP What’s an experienced agent to do? This is how travel advisor Danny Jarvis sees it: “If you’re not booking the flight, you’re not owning the trip. And if you’re not owning the trip, you risk losing the client.” Jarvis told Travelweek that he’s always booked air. He learned on the GDS, training on Galileo back when he started in the industry at age 17. “To me I don’t consider it a lot of work or effort, just because I’ve been doing complex airfare bookings for a long time,” he said. Jarvis’ advice for airlines, to encourage more advisors to come back to air bookings: “The best thing the airlines could do is stop cutting commission, or pay commission where they don’t, and stop with the differing prices. Like, when a fare on Sabre is more expensive for the exact same fare versus on the airline’s websites.”
“I AM VERY AWARE OF THE INDUSTRY CHANGES” Agency owner John Castell also knows his way around the GDS. “As a GDS user I can complete an air only
booking for a repeat client very, very quickly,” he told Travelweek. He’s tried the NDC platforms. “I am very aware of the industry changes and I am fearful of the airlines moving away from the GDS. It allows me to fix bookings with schedule changes, and alter bookings.” Castell told Travelweek he has been a top 50 agency for six of his eight years with Envoyage, with very high volumes of air bookings, but also with one of the lowest margins. “Airlines could get back to paying a bit more commission, or at the very least, creating net fares with a plus-up option, which will allow us to create a margin,” said Castell. Air can be complex and time consuming, says Envoyage’s National Marketing Manager, Heather Baker, “so it’s understandable that some advisors choose not to make it part of their business.” For others though, “it can be a real advantage particularly when clients want one trusted expert looking after the whole trip.” Envoyage’s resources include in-house air agreements, a dedicated ticketing support team and an advisor community with “deep air expertise. That support can help with changes, refunds, waivers, and other issues that can otherwise take a long time to resolve.” Trevello’s approach is similarly realistic. “We recognize why some advisors have moved away from air. Historically, the process could be time-consuming, complicated

and difficult to monetize. That is exactly the problem we set out to solve,” said CEO Zeina Gedeon, adding that Trevello has its own air booking platform aimed at making booking air faster, more intuitive and commercially worthwhile. “We don’t believe every advisor must sell air, but we do believe advisors should have access to a platform that makes it a compelling option,” said Gedeon.
“EVERY TRAVEL AGENCY OPERATES DIFFERENTLY” Airlines say they want to make it as easy as possible for their advisor partners to book air. Air Canada has its B2B direct NDC booking platform, AC Connex. “On this platform, we offer our best content, and there is no risk of errors or debit memos,” said Françios Choquette, Air Canada’s Head of Global Sales. Porter spokesperson Brad Cicero says Porter’s goal is to maintain a collaborative relationship with advisors and support their work. WestJet Group’s take?: “Every travel agency operates differently, and we respect that advisors know what works best for their clients and their business. However, when an agency chooses to work with us, our focus remains on providing the tools, reliable service and strong partnership they need to succeed.”
NDC & COMMISSION Q&A NDC and commissions were on the table at an airline forum in Toronto earlier this week. The underlying message at that event, from Air Canada, along with Atlantic Joint Venture partners United Airlines and Lufthansa Group, was that NDC may not be the ideal way to book for every agency – and that’s okay. Increasingly airlines sound as though they’re determined to meet advisors where they’re at. “Even though NDC has been around for a few years, we still have a long way to go to make it work the way we want it to, both from an airline perspective and an agency perspective,” said Lufthansa Group’s Christina Meakin at the forum. Meakin added that all airlines need to provide more transparency and clarity around GDS aggregators and what they can do for agencies in NDC, as well as the different travel tech providers available.
“WE WANT TO BE ON THE SHELF, WHEREVER YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS” Three years after Air Canada’s 2023 NDC rollout, Air Canada’s Director, Corporate Sales, Ana Paula de Souza, said Air Canada is focused on staying front and centre with agents, however they want to book. “At the end of the day, we want to be on the shelf wherever you want
to do business with us,” said de Souza. “If you want to work through the GDS, through an NDC channel or another option, that’s your choice. As long as you’re selling Air Canada, we’re happy.” She added: “We will continue moving forward with modern retailing because that’s where we can make more of our content and services available. But it’s ultimately the agency’s decision how it wants to sell Air Canada.”
“WE’VE HAD TO ADAPT EVERYWHERE” One travel advisor at the forum asked about “the elephant in the room”: commission levels. “We need to make sure the business remains sustainable and that we’re here for the long term,” said de Souza. “When fuel prices are at the levels we’re seeing today, it becomes even more difficult. I’m not saying the trade should have to pay that bill. We have had to make difficult decisions across every level of the company, including with our employees and with projects that we had planned. We’ve had to adapt everywhere in order to remain sustainable.” De Souza thanked advisors “for sticking with us. There is a lot of investment happening that will ultimately benefit our mutual customers.” More coverage from the airline forum can be found on page 7.

Travel Trends Summit V3 asks ‘What’s Beyond AI?’ with 40+ industry leaders TORONTO — Travel Trends Summit V3 is returning this fall with a twoday virtual program featuring more than 40 travel industry leaders and a central question that organizers say is increasingly important for the industry: “What’s Beyond AI?”

Sessions will explore AI and the evolving travel technology
Travelweek’s Devin Kinasz is among the speakers and will discuss how the technology is impacting travel advisors. “I love this technology, and I’m genuinely excited about what I’ll learn at this year’s event,” says Kinasz. “I’ve been dedicating a lot of my time to helping travel advisors understand AI and, more importantly, how they can actually use it in their businesses. I find the technology incredibly powerful in my own work, and the potential for efficiency gains – and for fundamental change across the travel industry – is simply too significant to ignore.”

The international speaker lineup also includes executives and industry experts from TourRadar, Phocuswright, Mindtrip, Railbookers Group, Kaptio, Fora Travel, TravelAI, WeTravel and Microsoft. Representatives from Thayer Ventures, Plug and Play, Propellic, Tripian, Deloitte, Nezasa, Bókun, Pinerary, TProfile, Aderra Solutions, Triprecos, iWander, GuestOS and Belvera Partners are also scheduled to participate.
WHAT IT MEANS FOR TRAVEL ADVISORS For travel advisors, the discussions come at a particularly relevant time. AI-powered trip planning and search are changing how consumers research travel, while new distribution platforms and booking technologies continue to alter how suppliers, advisors and travellers interact. At the same time, the summit will look beyond technology to consider where human expertise continues to provide an advantage — an issue with particular relevance for the travel advisor community as AI becomes increasingly embedded in travel planning and retailing.
THE NEXT WAVE OF TRAVEL TECH Investment will be another focus. Sessions examining travel-tech startups and funding will provide a look at where investors see opportunities emerging and which technologies could have the greatest impact on the travel industry in the years ahead. The Summit has doubled attendance year over year since launching in 2024, with previous editions attracting more than 2,000 participants from 50+ countries, says Dan Christian, founder of Travel Trends. “Everyone is talking about AI, but the real opportunity lies in how travel companies apply it to create
better businesses, stronger customer relationships, and provide more meaningful human experiences,” says Christian. “This year’s summit is designed to showcase what’s actually working today, while helping leaders prepare for what’s coming next.” He added that extended panel sessions will give speakers more room to dig into the topics that matter most to attendees. There are more fireside chats, bringing back the summit’s most popular format with an expanded lineup of 1:1 conversations with investors, founders and operators. Toprated keynotes include the highest rated speakers from 2025 returning, alongside several yetto-be-announced speakers. Plus, there are interactive demo blocks, giving emerging travel technology companies live stage time to show, not just tell, how they’re applying AI and automation. If you’re familiar with the Travel Trends brand, here’s why: the Travel Trends podcast is the #1 B2B travel podcast globally, delivering insider insights from top executives and entrepreneurs shaping the future of travel. With 250+ episodes, listeners in 125+ countries, the show covers technology, marketing, customer engagement, and emerging trends giving travel professionals the actionable ideas they need to grow their careers and businesses. The virtual format means attendees can tune in from anywhere, with the entire event streamed live from Toronto over Oct. 28 and 29. A321XLRs, Starlink and new cabins: Airlines talk innovation TORONTO — Discussions about innovation and tech were a big part of the Lufthansa Group Travel Forum in Toronto earlier this week. Three airline execs – Air Canada’s Director, Corporate Sales, Ana Paula de Souza, along with United Airlines’ Director, Global Corporate Sales, John Holt, and Christina Meakin, Director of Sales, Lufthansa Group – took part in a panel discussion that covered new aircraft, advances in onboard WiFi functionality and more. Both de Souza and Holt see the new A321XLRs for Air Canada and United as a game-changer aircraft, opening up unique, secondary and non-traditional markets, especially to Europe. “When you look at our European expansion, it’s the perfectsized aircraft. We’ve been able to serve destinations such as Berlin, Budapest, Catania, Palma de Mallorca and the Azores nonstop,” said de Souza. Meanwhile Meakin spoke to Canadian expansion. “We currently have five Canadian gateways, and we hope to expand that going forward.” Lufthansa Group is also rolling out Starlink as its WiFi provider. “The first aircraft have already been equipped. We have about 850 aircraft across seven airlines, so it will take some time, but it’s a major step forward for us,” said Meakin. Coming up for the three Atlantic Joint Venture carriers: working together on a Sales Insights Hub, offering automated business reviews, additional value-added features, enhanced reporting and greater transparency. NDC and commissions were also headline topics at the airline forum; check out our lead story on p. 3 - 4.

Global tourism kept moving in the first half of 2026, but the pace slowed considerably as conflict, higher costs and economic uncertainty weighed on travel demand. According to the latest World Tourism Barometer from UN Tourism, an estimated 690 million tourists travelled internationally between January and June, about three million more than during the same period in 2025. Global arrivals increased 2% in the first quarter before declining 1% in the second quarter. April arrivals fell 3%, a drop UN Tourism attributed largely to the Easter calendar shift and the impact of the Middle East conflict.

This is just the start, say Intrepid, ACV of their new partnership TORONTO — Intrepid Travel and Air Canada Vacations are taking their new relationship slow and steady, with an eye to strong growth. “We’re starting small, with eight tours in Canada, and we’re adding Morocco. But looking ahead, the plan is to expand into all of their products,” said Nino Montagnese, VP, Air Canada Vacations, when asked recently about ACV’s offering of Intrepid itineraries. “It’s going to complement what we already have and give our customers that extra sense of adventure travel that we don’t offer today. It was a missing piece, and we’re finding that customers are looking for it. They

Christian Wolters, President, Canada at Intrepid Travel, noted that a lot of people still think of small-group adventure travel as youth or budget travel, “but that’s really not the case anymore. It changed significantly after the pandemic. Today, it’s much more aligned with the Air Canada Vacations customer — often 55-

were coming to us for it, but we didn’t have it, so now we’re bringing it in,” he added. The timing is right, said Montagnese. ACV looked at bringing in adventure travel a few years ago, “but the technology at the time wasn’t where it is today. That’s changing for us now, and it’s going to help support this expansion,” he said. “Adventure travel has been popular for years, but it really feels like it’s becoming more mainstream now. I think we can help each other, and that’s what makes for a strong partnership.”

Float out milestone for Celebrity Compass ahead of August 2027 debut ROTTERDAM — Celebrity Cruises recently marked a major construction milestone for Celebrity River Cruises with the successful float out of Celebrity Compass, the first ship in its new river fleet. The float out, which marks the completion of the vessel’s exterior construction and its first time in the water, brings Celebrity Compass one step closer to its scheduled August 2027 debut. The multi-day process began Sept. 9 at Zwijnenburg shipyard in Rotterdam. Following the float out, the ship travelled its first 80 kilometres by river before arriving at TeamCo Shipyard in Heusden. “The float out of Celebrity Compass is a defining milestone as we bring our vision for Celebrity River Cruises to life,” said Laura Hodges Bethge,
President, Celebrity Cruises. “As our inaugural ship enters the next phase of construction, we’re one step closer to welcoming guests aboard in 2027.” Celebrity says the new ship will bring many of the brand’s ocean-cruise design and hospitality elements to the river, with open decks offering 360-degree views, an infinityedge plunge pool and Magic Edge cantilevered dining pods, an industry first for river cruising. Accommodation will include five stateroom categories, with kingsized beds in every stateroom, added storage and spacious balconies. Passengers will also have access to eight restaurants and bars, including Celebrity favourites Martini Bar, Sunset Bar and Café Al Bacio, along with complimentary breakfast room service and 24/7 dining options. Celebrity Compass will also feature an innovative hull designed to improve river navigation, plus hybrid propulsion and technology aimed at reducing noise and vibration.

Fareconnect brings advisor-first model to the U.S. market MEDICINE HAT, AB — Fareconnect is taking its advisor-first model south of the border with the launch of FareconnectUSA.com. The Canadian host agency, a member of Ensemble, currently supports more than 550 travel advisors across Canada and is known for its focus on training, mentorship and proprietary technology aimed at helping new advisors build their businesses. Fareconnect USA will operate independently as a separately operated company while carrying forward the same advisor-first philosophy as the Canadian company. It will begin serving travel advisors in California before expanding into Florida in 2027. As in Canada, the U.S. operation will focus primarily on individuals entering the travel industry rather than recruiting experienced advisors from competing host agencies. The company says its goal is to grow the marketplace by attracting new talent and providing the education, mentorship and business tools needed to build long-term careers. That approach reflects the background of founders Rick and Cindy Gaudet, who entered the travel industry after careers in the military. “As we grow in the U.S., our priority remains exactly what it has always been; helping new advisors build successful careers,” said Rick. “We’re not looking to be disruptors. Our focus is on bringing new people into the industry, giving them the right training and support, and helping them build businesses they can be proud of. That’s how we believe the industry grows.”

Guatemala’s “magic” easier to reach with new Air Canada flights TORONTO — How to describe Guatemala in one word? “Magic,” says Myriam De La Roca, Consul General for Guatemala in Toronto. De La Roca and Diego Meneses with the Embassy of Guatemala in Canada have plenty of tips for Canadian travel advisors looking to sell more of this Central American destination. The two were in town recently for CMEE. First up: Air Canada’s expanded service to Guatemala is set to be a game-changer. As announced last month, Air Canada has added 1x weekly service from Toronto to Guatemala City (GUA) starting in December 2026. Air Canada is also extending its seasonal YUL-GUA service to year-round, with three weekly flights starting this October. Guatemala welcomed 41,447 visitors from Canada in 2025, a 5% increase over 2024. From January through July 2026, another 31,475 Canadians
visited Guatemala. With Toronto as a second Canadian gateway, those numbers will only rise. Also good to know: it’s just a five hour flight to Guatemala. Once on the ground, visitors will find a little bit of everything, from luxury hotels to bigbrand chain properties, to boutique hotels, to all-inclusive. Guatemala is home to volcanoes – 37 to be precise. The beautiful city of Antigua with its Spanish colonial buildings works well as a base. Lake Atitlan is famously surrounded by three volcanoes, and charming towns. And of course, Tikal National Park, with its ancient ruins, receives hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Speaking of volcanoes, Guatemala is a magnet for adventure travel, popular for volcano trekking, whitewater rafting and surfing at prices that don’t blow the budget. Great gastronomy, culture, jungles and more round out the offering. More information about travel to Guatemala can be found at VisitGuatemala.gt.
ACV rolls out interactive Groups Workshops for advisors MONTREAL — Air Canada Vacations has launched new interactive Groups Workshops aimed at helping travel advisors build confidence, strengthen their groups expertise and grow their business. Developed with a certified trainer, the sessions feature practical exercises, live demonstrations and collaborative activities, with a focus on knowledge advisors can immediately apply to their groups business. “Groups remain one of the most valuable growth opportunities for travel advisors, and we believe the education supporting them should reflect that,” said Elish Tait, ACV’s Manager, National Accounts. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn recognition as an Air Canada Vacations Groups Specialist, a designation recognizing advanced knowledge of ACV’s groups business. The workshops are designed for both new and experienced groups sellers and cover the Air Canada Vacations Groups journey, operational best practices, recent technology enhancements and strategies for identifying and converting groups opportunities. “These two components together are what we call the Canadian model, which we are now applying to our markets in Spain, the UK and Latin America.” According to Pfennig, increased brand recognition has also played a significant role in the company’s Canadian growth, supported by television campaigns that have not yet been introduced in all of Exoticca’s markets.

Exoticca celebrates Canadian growth, top partners at Fall Fling roadshow TORONTO — Exoticca rolled out the red carpet in Toronto for its fourth annual Fall Fling, bringing together 300 travel advisors and key partners for an evening of industry updates, awards and celebration. Held at the Fairmont Royal York, the evening gala included dinner, prizes and a look at Exoticca’s latest developments and continued growth in the Canadian market. “Tonight is about you, celebrating you, and celebrating your success and showing our appreciation,” said Diana Winters, VP Sales, Canada and host of the evening. For the fourth consecutive year, Exoticca took its Fall Fling on the road, with events in Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver. New to the lineup this year is Saskatoon.
Also new for 2026 is an awards component recognizing topperforming travel advisors and partners across several categories.
CANADA TAKES THE LEAD The future of travel – and the role travel advisors play in it – has become a key growth engine for Exoticca, particularly in Canada. Speaking with Travelweek, Mareike Pfennig, VP Growth, said that while other markets, including the U.S., continue to grow, Canada has emerged as Exoticca’s largest B2B market. The tour operator is projecting 50% growth in Canada this year, with travel advisors generating 40% of its Canadian sales. Canada also represents the company’s largest travel advisor network globally. What is driving that success? “The element of trust is very important for travellers, especially with high-ticket purchases like travel. There are a lot of questions involved, and the synergy with the advisors is fantastic,” said Juanjo Duran, Chief Product Officer.
She said the campaigns have proven effective on both the B2C and B2B sides, with consumers exposed to Exoticca’s advertising subsequently turning to their travel advisors to book.
TECH, GROUPS & CHANGING TRAVEL PATTERNS Exoticca, which positions itself as the “next generation” of travel, continues to invest heavily in technology, including AI, as it looks to respond more quickly to the needs of both consumers and the trade. “We listen, and we are very agile in turning feedback into new features,” said Pfennig. But despite those advances, company executives said travellers still value the human element of the booking experience, particularly when it comes to understanding individual priorities and preferences. Exoticca currently operates in 11 global markets, offers travel in more than 80 countries and has a portfolio of more than 300 curated itineraries. The company has also seen travel patterns shift this year as travellers respond to global events, including a notable decline in bookings to the Middle East and Africa. Its current bestsellers are concentrated primarily in Asia,

particularly China and Japan, as well as Latin America and Europe. European demand encompasses perennial favourites such as Italy alongside emerging destinations such as Albania. Groups, meanwhile, have become another important segment for the tour operator. Exoticca currently offers 90 group itineraries and has doubled the size of its dedicated groups support team over the past three months. For travel advisors, Exoticca highlighted several elements of its trade proposition during the event, including pricing that it says averages 30% below comparable competitor itineraries, commission on all components, prompt commission payments, instant quotes, a dedicated onboarding team and advisorfocused technology.

Costa Rica brings conservation to life through wildlife protection Costa Rica is globally admired for showing how conservation, wildlife protection and tourism can work together — not only in policy, but in deeply human ways. Roughly the size of Nova Scotia, Costa Rica is home to approximately 6.5% of the world’s biodiversity despite covering less than 1% of the Earth’s surface. More than 25% of its land is protected through national parks and reserves, while over 30% of its marine territory is safeguarded. The country has also reversed decades of deforestation, increasing forest cover from around 25% in the 1980s to more than 58% today. But Costa Rica’s conservation story is perhaps best understood through the animals at the heart of those efforts. At the Centro de Rescate y Santuario Las Pumas in Guanacaste, an average of 350 animals from approximately 65 species are rescued each year, many injured, orphaned or impacted by human activity. Among them is Caoba, a rescued jaguarundi found alone in the forest as a young animal, weak and calling for her mother. After arriving at Las Pumas, she was rehabilitated with the hope of eventually returning to the wild. She learned to hunt and showed strong survival instincts. Then, just before her planned release, tests revealed that Caoba had feline leukemia, an incurable disease that
meant she could never safely return to her natural habitat. Today she remains at Las Pumas, where the team is creating a larger, enriched habitat to support her health and quality of life for years to come. Wildlife rescue efforts can be found across Costa Rica. Near San José, Rescate Wildlife Rescue Center rehabilitates animals while educating visitors about conservation and habitat protection. Its residents include capybaras rescued after being smuggled into the country. These efforts reflect a conservation-first mindset that also shapes the visitor experience. Often described as ‘Green Glove’ travel, Costa Rica integrates sustainability, nature, wellness and cultural connection into everyday tourism, from protected rainforests and wildlife centres to community experiences and farm-to-table cuisine. “As travellers increasingly look for destinations that align with their environmental values, Costa Rica offers a powerful example of how conservation, wildlife protection, and tourism can work together,” said Adalberto Rodríguez, Market Coordinator (USA & Canada) for the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT). “Protecting nature is part of who we are, and it’s something visitors can experience in a very real way.” For more information, go to VisitCostaRica.com.

Nat Geo-Lindblad Expeditions launches air credit offer for Antarctica, Arctic and beyond National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions is giving travellers another incentive to plan ahead for 2027, with up to $2,000 in air credits per person available on select voyages booked by Nov. 4, 2026. The limited-time offer applies to select 2027 expeditions in Antarctica, the Arctic, Europe, Japan and the South Pacific. To qualify, airfare must be booked through the Lindblad Expeditions Air Department at 800-444-7739. The promotion comes as Lindblad continues to position its small-ship expedition product around remote destinations, flexible itineraries and expert-led exploration. In the polar regions, itineraries can include wildlife encounters, kayaking and Zodiac excursions, with captains and expedition teams adjusting daily plans based on ice, weather and wildlife conditions. Lindblad’s roots in polar travel date back to 1966, when
Lars-Eric Lindblad led what the company describes as the first non-scientific voyage to Antarctica, helping establish the foundation for modern expedition cruising. Today, the company operates purpose-built polar ships across Antarctica and the Arctic, with National Geographic Photographers accompanying every departure. Beyond the poles, eligible 2027 voyages also include itineraries in Japan, Europe and the South Pacific, giving travellers a range of options for small-ship exploration. The air credit offer is aimed at helping offset one of the larger costs associated with long-haul expedition travel, particularly for destinations that often require complex international air arrangements. Travel advisors can book eligible voyages through Nov. 4, 2026. For more information, click here.

Germany’s university cities: Where history and a relaxed lifestyle come together Germany’s university cities are offering travellers a different way to experience the country, pairing historic architecture and lively cultural scenes with compact, walkable city centres and easy access to nature.
Göttingen blends half-timbered charm with big ideas: the Georg-August University has produced dozens of Nobel laureates. Around the Gänseliesel fountain, pubs and restaurants create a friendly, international atmosphere.
Münster is Germany’s cycling capital: a traffic-calmed promenade encircles the historic old town, linking the cathedral, Prinzipalmarkt, Aasee lake and the baroque palace that now houses the university. Short distances make it easy to design softmobility itineraries that work for all age groups.
Bonn, the former capital and Beethoven’s birthplace, adds Rhine romance and serious institutions: UN organisations, major companies and a renowned university. A dense museum landscape and riverside promenades round off the offer.
Freiburg offers sunshine, the Black Forest on the doorstep and a medieval centre laced with the famous “Bächle” water channels. Students fill the cafés around the cathedral square and turn the city into a perfect base for combining urban flair with nature excursions.
Germany’s university cities mean walkable itineraries, authentic experiences and flexible programme building across seasons, with strong repeat-visit potential. Find more information, inspiration and trade materials on www.germany.travel.
