GETTING AROUND BY CAR Dubuque is located along several major highways, making it very drivable. The following highways will get you into Dubuque, depending on which direction you are coming from. Dubuque's farmers' market tradition began in 1845. By 1858, farmers unloaded produce through City Hall's 11-foot windows into indoor stalls. Today, over 120 vendors offer farm-fresh goods and handcrafted arts.
Not an early riser? Millwork Night Market brings local food, art, drinks, and unique goods to the Historic Millwork District after dark, blending farmers' market charm with nightlife atmosphere.
Market season doesn't end when winter arrives. Winter Farmers' Market brings in-season produce, locally raised meats, and canned goods indoors to Kennedy Mall's West Concourse.
This early December tradition in the Historic Millwork District features local artisans selling handmade and homegrown goods among holiday lights, festive cheer, and maybe a visit from Santa.
