Teros™ – Switch, Sectionaliser & Recloser in One Unit

SOLID DIELECTRIC

Three Functions. Two Voltages. One Unit.

What makes G&W Teros™ powerful is that the same physical unit can be configured, commissioned and reconfigured to perform as any one of three roles – a switch, a sectionaliser or a recloser – without any changes to hardware.

This ability to change helps reduce capital costs, planning complexity, installation time, and inventory overheads. This unit can be reconfigured again and again to cater for changes in network requirements over time. Designed for use on both 11kV and 22kV networks, Teros™ is the versatile choice.

Teros™ has six voltage sensing bushings as standard, providing Low Energy Analogue inputs to the control. It's maintenance free solid dielectric design eliminates routine maintenance tasks common with older technologies, reduces environmental risk and improves personnel safety while maintaining high fault interruption performance. All serviceable parts and CT ratio selection are located in the Control Enclosure.

The superior choice for environmentally responsible networks, no SF6 gas to consider

FULL INTEGRATION

SCADA, OMS or DMS via the SEL 651RA or INGETEAM relay offers enhanced network reliability. Higher creepage modules and a sealed mechanism reduce potential for failure & maintenance

SEAMLESS DESIGN

Grey insulators and ganged design make Teros™ blend seamlessly into the environment

EARTH RODS

COPPER BONDED EARTH RODS

Longer life through molecular bonding

Copper bonded NOT plated! — The same principle as chrome motorbike components.

Copper bonded earth rods provide reliable grounding and long term corrosion resistance for electrical installations. ERICO rods combine a high strength steel core with a molecularly bonded copper coating for durable performance in demanding environments.

Why Grounding Matters

Grounding systems help to:

Protect people from electrical faults

Provide a reference point for equipment

Prevent flashover on transmission systems

Protect transformers, capacitors and lightning arresters

Why Copper-Bonded Rods?

Underground electrodes face harsh corrosion conditions. Copper bonded rods provide the ideal combination of:

Corrosion resistance

High conductivity

Strength for deep driving

ERICO Copper-Bonded Technology

ERICO rods use a continuous electro plating process that creates a permanent molecular bond between copper and steel. This ensures the coating:

Will not slip or tear during installation

Will not crack when bent

Delivers decades of reliable performance

Copper-bonded ERICO rod won’t crack when bent

99.9% PURE COPPER COATING

High conductivity, corrosion resistance.

MOLECULAR COPPER BOND

Permanent copper–steel bond.
