ABOUT MOSQUITOES GENERAL INFORMATION

Mosquitoes are common flying insects that constitute the family Culicidae. They are found around the world and measure an average of 1/8 to 3/4 in. There are about 170 different mosquito species in North America alone. Only the female mosquitoes bite as they need proteins to produce eggs. Mosquitoes breed in stagnant water or soft soil and feed on the blood of various kinds of hosts, mainly vertebrates, including mammals, birds, reptiles and humans.

PROBOSCIS

The mosquito mouthpart is used to pierce the skin and suck blood. It is also used to drink fluids rich in dissolved sugar, such as nectar and honeydew.

ANTENNAE

Their antennae contain sensitive receptors helping them detect carbon dioxide in human breath from distances of up to 100 feet.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE Apply on neck, arms, legs or other exposed areas as shown. Apply sufficient quantities, reapply as needed, and at least every five 5 hours or after swimming. Apply more frequently and over larger skin areas depending on mosquito infestation levels. Cover exposed skin areas and avoid areas and times when mosquitos are most active.
