Store Manager Onboarding Before You Shine

Welcome To Signet

Congratulations, and welcome to Signet. Whether you've been promoted into this role or you've joined us from outside the business, we're delighted you're taking on the responsibility of leading one of our stores. Stepping into store management is exciting, but it can also feel like a lot to take in, even if you already know the business well. That's why we've created this journal: to help you feel prepared, informed, and confident as you move through your Brilliant Beginning. This journal supports the first stage of your onboarding journey, Brilliant Beginning, your 12-week induction programme. It brings together who we are, the values that guide how we lead, and the practical knowledge you'll need to run a store and lead a team from day one. You'll also find an overview of your week-by-week roadmap, the focus areas you'll build capability in - sales performance, audit & security, and leading your team - and the systems and contacts you'll rely on. Along the way, you'll gain a clear picture of how your Capability Assessment and sign-off will come together in week 12. Take some time to work through this journal alongside your Training Store Manager and District Manager. Make notes, jot down any questions you may have, and use it as a guide throughout your first 12 weeks and beyond. Most importantly, remember that you're not expected to know everything from day one, whether this is your first management role or your first day at Signet. Your Training Store Manager, District Manager and wider team will support you every step of the way. We can't wait to see you lead your team and help you build a rewarding and successful career with Signet. Your journey starts here. Let's get ready to shine.

Meet Harriet Samuel The Woman Behind the H. In a time when women could not vote or access higher education, Harriet Samuel defied all odds to follow her dreams. She transformed the family watchmakers into a mail-order business, built around one powerful goal: making quality jewellery and watches accessible to everyone.

Quality jewellery for everyone — not just the few. Harriet Samuel Founder

A Legacy Born on Oxford Street Founded 1949 · London

It began in 1949 with a single door opening onto the bustle of London's Oxford Street. Ernest and Stella Weinstein didn't simply set out to sell jewellery, they sought to bring the prestige of a West End atelier to a wider world. They believed that the brilliance of a finely cut diamond and the precision of a Swiss timepiece should not be reserved for the few. Over the decades, Ernest Jones evolved from a family passion into a national icon, defined by an uncompromising eye for detail and a deep respect for craft, the curators of life's most meaningful moments: the engagement 'yes', the graduation watch, the eternity ring. In 1987, we joined the Signet family. Today, Ernest Jones has returned to its roots on Oxford Street, opposite Selfridges, ready to serve a new generation. https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/about-us
