Sales Associate Onboarding Before You Shine

01

Welcome To Signet

We're delighted that you've chosen to join us and begin your journey as part of our retail team. Starting a new role is exciting, but it can also feel a little overwhelming. That's why we've created this onboarding journal to help you feel prepared, informed, and confident before you even step into your store for the first time. This journal supports the first stage of your onboarding journey, 01 Before You Shine, and is designed to give you everything you need to know before your first day. You'll learn more about who we are, the brands you'll represent, and the values that guide how we work and support one another every day. You'll also find practical information about what to expect on your first day, what to wear, important store protocols, the systems you'll use, and where to go if you need help or support. Along the way, you'll gain an understanding of the opportunities available to you and what your first few months at Signet will look like. Take some time to work through this journal before you arrive in store. Make notes, jot down any questions you may have, and use it as a guide throughout your first few weeks. Most importantly, remember that you're not expected to know everything on day one. Your manager and colleagues will be there to support you every step of the way. We can't wait to welcome you to the team and help you begin a rewarding and successful career with Signet. Your journey starts here. Let's get ready to shine.

Our Heritage

The stories behind our brands

Meet Harriet Samuel The Woman Behind the H. In a time when women could not vote or access higher education, Harriet Samuel defied all odds to follow her dreams. She transformed the family watchmakers into a mail-order business, built around one powerful goal: making quality jewellery and watches accessible to everyone.

Today, our style team follows in her footsteps, scouring for the best tips, tricks and styles, and delivering joy with a smile every single day. Harriet's spirit lives on in every store: accessible, warm, and always putting the customer first. https://www.hsamuel.co.uk/blog/celebrating-harriet-samuel

Quality jewellery for everyone — not just the few. Harriet Samuel Founder

A Legacy Born on Oxford Street Founded 1949 · London

It began in 1949 with a single door opening onto the bustle of London's Oxford Street. Ernest and Stella Weinstein didn't simply set out to sell jewellery, they sought to bring the prestige of a West End atelier to a wider world. They believed that the brilliance of a finely cut diamond and the precision of a Swiss timepiece should not be reserved for the few. Over the decades, Ernest Jones evolved from a family passion into a national icon, defined by an uncompromising eye for detail and a deep respect for craft, the curators of life's most meaningful moments: the engagement 'yes', the graduation watch, the eternity ring. In 1987, we joined the Signet family. Today, Ernest Jones has returned to its roots on Oxford Street, opposite Selfridges, ready to serve a new generation. https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/about-us
