Sausage Sizzle

THURSDAY 28 MAY FROM 9.00AM!

The sausages will be sizzling on Thursday 28 May! Grab a delicious Lamberts’ sausage on bread for lunch, fundraising for Brighter Lives, sponsored by Lamberts Produce. Available from 9.00am at the front of Townsville University Hospital until sold out.

$3 for a sausage on bread with onion and sauce, $2.80 for a no sugar soft drink, with all profits supporting Brighter Lives and the NQ community.

Understanding Intergenerational Teams

In today’s workplace, five generations work side by side - each shaped by different life experiences, values and expectations. At THHS, Gen Z and Millennials make up more than half of our workforce, bringing new perspectives, skills and ways of working.

Program objectives:

• Understand the key traits, values and motivators of different generations, especially Gen Z and Millennials.

• Recognise and challenge assumptions or biases that can impact inter-generational teamwork.

• Apply practical communication and engagement strategies to work more effectively across

generations.

Essential Communication Skills For the Workplace

This programme is designed to provide staff with tools, strategies and techniques to assist in achieving effective two-way communications and positive relationship development.

It encompasses the following four (4) x 4-hour modules:

Duration: This is an expression of interest to obtain a candidate pool to draw from (within the next 12 months) for future backfill requirements up to six [6] months (in total).

Rewarding career progression opportunity for existing employeesprofessional development through capability building and higher duties.

This position will:

• Maintain the THHS business continuity, emergency management and fire safety framework compliance with all legislation, standards, policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain THHS and TUH business continuity and emergency/disaster management frameworks, plans, sub-plans, guidelines and registers.

• Support and maintain the THHS Emergency Management training and exercise framework, including relevant training systems qualifications.

• Support the functioning of the THHS EPCM Governance Committee.

• Develop and deliver education, training and support for emergency/disaster management planning and emergency response procedures.

• Prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence.

FIND

• Support the continuous development of the THHS Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC), IMT and represent the THHS at the Townsville Local Disaster Management Group and District Coordination Centre.
