Spring / Summer 2026

we welcome the warmer weather back to our community, we are busy preparing an array of recreational programs, events, and activities in Tiny. On behalf of Council, I am happy to share the 2026 Spring/Summer Recreation and Special Events Activity Guide that highlights all of these initiatives.
Each season, we continue to build our catalogue of programming and events that cater to all ages and abilities. Earlier this year, the Township of Tiny was recognized as an Age-Friendly Community by the Ontario Government, confirming our commitment to improving recreational opportunities for everyone. In 2026, we are offering new fitness programs for parents and baby, CPR courses, a learn to draw program, a walking club for older adults, and more.
See a program or event you’re interested in? Register to save your spot! You can conveniently register online by using our Play Portal at www.tiny.ca/playportal, visit us in-person, or contact the Recreation and Special Events Department by email at recreation@tiny.ca or phone at 705-526-4204.
Keep up to date with everything happening in Tiny such as road closures, beach notices, or recreation programs and events by signing up for Tiny Connect at www.tinyconnect.ca. Receive custom alerts tailored to your preferences via mobile app, text, email, or voice calls. Search for “Voyent Alert!” in the app store to download the mobile app. Remember to select Recreation to be notified about community events and program registration dates.
We hope you have a wonderful spring and summer season!

Our brand-new Play Portal app is coming soon, bringing an improved experience for browsing activities, program registration, and account management, right at your fingertips. Use the app to pay with Visa or Mastercard.
Refunds will be issued to the original payee. Cash, cheque, and debit payments will be refunded by cheque, and online payments will be issued to the original card.

Less than 2 weeks prior to the start date: A 50% refund as a credit on your account only, less a 5% processing fee, unless the request is accompanied by a medical certificate.
Within 72 hours of the start date: No refund or credit, unless the request is accompanied by a medical certificate.
A full or prorated refund or credit with no processing fee will be provided if the township cancels a program due to weather, low registration or for an unforeseen circumstance. If the program can be rescheduled, no refund will be issued.
Deferred Payment and NSF Policy: Any deferred payments that are declined will result in a $45 NSF fee. Registrants will receive an automatic notice of this charge when their payment is declined, along with instructions on how to pay the balance on their account. Failure to pay the account balance within 48 hours will result in a cancelled registration.

These facilities provide a great space for many different types of events and are available for rent by Tiny residents, the general public, and local organizations. The Tiny Trail is a 23-kilometre multi-use recreational trail that was converted from a rail line in 1978. It is part of the Trans Canada Trail network, stretching from Tiny/Flos Line (near Elmvale) in the south to the southern outskirts of Penetanguishene in the north. The trail crosses agricultural and forested areas with several historic bridges along the way. The northern part is paved while the rest is surfaced with crushed stone.
Within Tiny, convenient parking options are available at Wyevale Park (10 Concession 5 East) and Bernie LeClair Parkette (99 Balm Beach Road West). Additionally, parking can be found at Overhead Bridge Trailhead (corner of Overhead Bridge Road and Robert Street West) in the Town of Penetanguishene.

Tiny’s Off-Leash Dog Parks, located at CBO Park (2 Winterset Avenue) and Toanche Park (771 Champlain Road), have both large and small dog enclosures. They are open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM between May 1 and October 31. Users should review the posted dog park rules at the enclosure entrances.

Many seniors do not have a comprehensive, pragmatic collection of all the information they, their loved ones, and caregivers will need as they face the challenges of advanced aging. Through a series of facilitated workshops supported by high quality videos and materials, the Ducks in a Row program will enable attendees to find and capture the pertinent personal information they need. The information gathered will be compiled into a simple, practical workbook format which you personally own and maintain. This program will provide you and your loved one’s peace by having all your ducks in a row.
