The Mid-Island Initiative area in Hilton Head Island consists of commercial developments, industrial uses, residential neighborhoods, the Hilton Head Island airport, and cultural resources. In 2022, the Town Council adopted the Mid-Island District Plan, which includes three focus areas: Mid-Island, District Center and Historic Neighborhoods
