Welcome to the Fall 2025/Winter 2026
Health and Active Living Guide! We’re so excited to introduce a refreshed format of the guide. The updated format allows users to browse the various categories and groups to find what’s right for them. Once there, users can select the interactive buttons on the page to navigate directly to ActiveNet, our online system, for a complete list of programs and registration links.
This refreshed guide also highlights a major milestone for the Town of East Gwillimbury (EG) by introducing the first programs to ever be held at the Health and Active Living Plaza, opening later this fall. We can’t wait to welcome you into this state-of-theart facility, featuring program spaces, a gymnasium, a walking/running track, an additional library branch with Makerspace and Design Studio and so much more – including EG’s first Aquatic Centre.
The Aquatic Centre will support aquatic programs, public swims and birthday parties and features a lazy river,
Sincerely,
therapy pool, lap pool, a diving board, and more. Learn more about the Health and Active Living Plaza at eastgwillimbury.ca/HALP. Stay tuned to our social channels for details on the Grand Opening!
This past summer we also refreshed some of our outdoor spaces during our second Summer of Parks. These improvements included new playground equipment, pickleball courts, new trails, beach volleyball courts and more. Find a park or trail to explore at eastgwillimbury.ca/Parks.
You may notice throughout this refreshed version of the guide that there are some familiar Team EG faces. It was important to us to show the faces behind the exceptional work and recognize that none of this would be possible without the incredible and dedicated Parks, Recreation and Culture team. I want to thank each and every one of them for the passion and knowledge they bring to EG and the hard work they put into delivering programs, and keeping our facilities, parks and trails clean and safe.
See you soon at the Health and Active Living Plaza Grand Opening.
Aaron Karmazyn General Manager of Parks, Recreation and Culture
