Message from the Town Council
A
s we welcome a new year, we are reminded that this season represents a time of fresh beginnings and renewed possibilities. It’s fitting, then, that we start 2025 by celebrating the completion of the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project. This project, developed with community input, embodies a commitment to our Town’s future. With improvements substantially complete (see page 6), Danville begins 2025 poised for prosperity and community connection. Visit Downtown to experience these exciting updates firsthand. This season also brings change as we welcome Lieutenant Thomas B. Rossberg as Danville’s new Chief of Police, succeeding Chief Allan Shields. After nearly eight years of service, Chief Shields is retiring. Read more about this important transition on Page 8. Inside this issue, learn about a new rebate program helping local homeowners build accessory dwelling units to address California's housing shortage (Page 4), plus programs for older adults like senior-exclusive lunches and trips (Page 10).
