“PROUDLY WE HAIL” FLAG RECOGNITION PROGRAM

Community members invited to help honor those who proudly display theAmerican ag.

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, the Exchange Club of Mount Vernon/Knox County is encouraging residents to take part in a meaningful community tradition through its Proudly We Hail Flag Recognition Program.

The program recognizes individuals, families, businesses, farms, schools, churches, and organizations that regularly and properly display the American ag.

The Stars and Stripes remain one of the most powerful symbols of freedom, unity, and patriotism in our nation. Through Proudly We Hail, community members are encouraged to look for examples of respectful ag display throughout Knox County and nominate deserving recipients for recognition.

Those selected will receive a special plaque honoring their commitment to displaying the American ag with pride. The goal of the program is simple: to encourage appreciation for the American ag and the values it represents while promoting its proper display throughout our community.

The program also provides an opportunity to educate the public on ag etiquette and the U.S. Flag Code. If you observe a home, business, farm, school, church, or organization proudly displaying the American ag, consider submitting a nomination and helping honor those who truly embody the spirit of “Proudly We Hail.” See contact info below.
