How did you get started with Loco Depot?

I wanted to try Loco for quite some time, but never got the courage up to go. Last fall, one of the coaches started a Sunday 6am free class that also incorporated devotions and prayer. I asked a friend to go with me, and we both loved it. Around that time, it was my daughter Kylee's birthday. I wanted to bless her with trying out a class, so I got both of us a punch card. After our rst class, we were hooked. We went to the 9 am class, and everyone was so welcoming and encouraging to us. We loved the workouts and the people. I'm so blessed to get to do this with my daughter and we've made so many new friends.

What are some goals you have for yourself (or ones you've obtained or ones that you are still trying to obtain) that Loco has helped you with?

Loco has helped me get much stronger! I've worked out for years, but had used only dumbbells in the past, and never barbells with weights. I had a pretty wimpy squat, and Coach Lindy helped me get the depth I needed. She pushed and challenged me, as I had to lay aside some pride and get back to the basics. Coach Drew is always pushing and encouraging us. He makes challenging workouts and encourages us along the way. The key is being consistent. Stick with it and push through.

How would you encourage someone who is apprehensive to join?

I understand being apprehensive. I regret not starting sooner, because of my fear. The hardest session is walking through the door that rst time. It is de nitely easier to bring a buddy, but even if you don't have a buddy, come try a class. Our 9am class is VERY welcoming! It doesn't matter your age or tness level. There are modi cations for everything. I'm starting this in my mid-forties and have felt great!
