Tove LearningTrust marked its 10th anniversary with a year-long celebration built around four strands, Challenge, Give Back, Reward, andAwards, bringing together students, staff, and families across all 16 schools.The programme showcased theTrust’s community spirit, creativity, and shared purpose.
More than 150 social action projects were completed across theTrust, demonstrating extraordinary teamwork and compassion.As the document notes, these ranged from DIY SOS support for families to well-being hampers, afternoon tea for elderly residents and the creation of new outdoor green spaces.
Astandout initiative was the Torch Relay, conceived by students at Sponne School (tutor group 9CRS).The relay launched theTrust’s time capsule journey, visiting every school to collect an artefact and soil sample. The capsule will be buried at the Trust’s central offices in Roade, alongside a commemorative tree grown from the combined soil, symbolising unity and shared roots.
Through Give Back, students and staff raised funds and volunteered time to support local causes.The Reward strand celebrated participation and resilience, recognising the joy of being involved.The year concluded with the Pride ofToveAwards, honouring sixteen exceptional staff whose dedication has made a lasting difference to students’lives.
Jamie Clarke OBE, CEO, Tove Learning Trust commented, “This has been a fantastic year where our pupils and staff have really engaged in giving something back to others. This has been embraced astonishingly well, and I am so very proud of what we have all achieved collectively”.
Torch Relay
TheTorch Relay began at Sponne School, theTrust’s founding institution, before travelling through all 16 schools over ten days Each school contributed a unique artefact and a soil sample, creating a powerful symbol of shared heritage.
Acommemorative tree will be planted next to the capsule, using the combined soil samples from allTrust schools to symbolise unity and shared heritage The route spanned Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and the West Midlands, connecting secondary, primary and alternative provision settings.
