Embark on a full-day excursion north of Taipei. Visit the otherworldly rock formations at Yehliu Geopark, wander the nostalgic alleys of Jiufen Old Street, and end the day at Shifen Waterfall with a sky lantern release at Pingxi (optional).
Day 4: Taipei - Taichung B
Take a high-speed train (approximately 1 hour) to Taichung. Discover artistic neighbourhoods like Shenji New Village, snap photos at Rainbow Village, and learn about Taiwan’s history at the 921 Earthquake Museum. Wrap up your day with street eats at Yizhong Night Market. Stay overnight in Taichung.
Day 5: Taichung - Sun Moon Lake B
Transfer to Sun Moon Lake. Visit
Wenwu Temple, Xuanguang Temple, Ci En Pagoda, or take a peaceful boat ride across the lake. Optional: Ride the cable car for a panoramic view or enjoy a sunset hike. Overnight near Sun Moon Lake.
Day 6: Sun Moon Lake - Alishan B
Travel to Alishan National Scenic Area. After check-in, hike the Alishan Forest Loop or Tashan Trail through misty forests, sacred trees, and ancient cypress groves. Overnight in Alishan.
Day 7: Alishan – Return to Taipei B
Rise early to catch the Alishan sunrise at Chushan Station via the Alishan Forest Railway — a once-in-alifetime experience. After breakfast, transfer to Chiayi Station and then board the high-speed rail to return to Taipei. Connect to your departing flight back home.

In the evening, visit the Nanga Sumpa longhouse, relax on the ruai (common verandah), spend time with the Iban people, and learn about their culture. Stay overnight at Nanga Sumpa.
Day 05: Nanga Sumpa –Lubok Kasai

Following the breakfast hike, the jungle trails along the river lead to another community and continue upriver by longboat. On the way, relax, swim, and enjoy the Enseluai waterfall and rainforest surroundings. After lunch, trek for 1-2 hours along a rainforest trail through the orangutan habitat and arrive at the jungle camp. Stay two nights at Lubok Kasai jungle camp.
Day 06: Lubok Kasai

In the morning, around 0830-0900
hours, go trekking on one of the rainforest trails to look for orangutans and other wildlife like pig-tailed macaques, hornbills, and a variety of birds. Return for lunch at the camp, relax at the lodge, or go for a swim in the river. Around 1600 hours, depart on a 1-2 hour walk along a trail that follows the Lalang River and search for orang-utans.
Day 07: Lubok Kasai – Kuching B L
After breakfast, travel downriver to the Batang Ai Lake jetty, then overland back to Kuching, with lunch en route. In the evening, you are free to relax or explore the town. Stay three nights at Damai Beach Resort.
