Celebrate 45 years of artistry with the internationally acclaimed Langley Ukulele Ensemble—an ensemble renowned for transforming the ukulele into a vibrant, expressive concert instrument. With up to 60 performances each year, they have graced world-class stages alongside artists like Bobby McFerrin and appeared at global events including the 2010 Winter Olympics.
Their dynamic program spans classical masterworks, orchestral transcriptions, jazz and swing, global folk traditions, and contemporary favorites—blending multiple ukulele voices with bass, percussion, and vocals to create a rich, polished, and exhilarating sound.

Produced by acclaimed Sligo fiddler Oisín Mac Diarmada, the show features an ensemble of exceptional Irish musicians, singers, and dancers whose performances are filled with warmth, humor, and boundless energy. Set against a backdrop of evocative images of Ireland, the program offers a glimpse into the country’s unique holiday customs and musical heritage.

Back by popular demand, What the Constitution Means to Me returns in a powerful and thought-provoking TOCA production that brings Heidi Schreck’s Tony Award–nominated play vividly to life in the intimate Nakano Theatre.
Fifteen-year-old Heidi earned her college tuition by winning constitutional debate competitions across the country. Now, as an adult, she revisits those experiences to explore the profound impact the Constitution has had on her life—and on the lives of women across generations. Blending personal storytelling, history, and live debate, this deeply engaging theatrical event invites audiences to reflect on the evolving meaning of this foundational document in today’s world.
Directed by TOCA’s Executive Director, Christian Wolf, the production features a compelling cast led by Jessica Hayes as Heidi, Brian Singer as the Legionnaire, and Brooklyn Reiss as the Teen Debater. Together, they create a dynamic and emotionally resonant performance that turns humorous, heartfelt, and electrifying.

Led by Concertmaster Wenlan Jackson (Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin) and Artistic Director/ cellist Osheen Manukyan (Resident Fellow of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra), KONTRAPUNKTUS unites an extraordinary roster of world-class musicians for a performance that is both deeply expressive and exhilarating. The group features Colburn Orchestra violinists, Eunice Lee, Duncan McDougall, Dawid Kasprzak, Colburn Orchestra Principal violist, Yuri Santos, violist Nico Valencia (USC Thornton School of Music), double bassist, Nicholas Arredondo (Auckland Philharmonia) and harpsichordist, Hejun Yang (American Bach Soloist Academy). Award winning oboist, Jini Baik, will make her debut with KONTRAPUNKTUS as the featured concert soloist. A defining moment in music history— reimagined for the stage.
In August 1969, more than 400,000 people gathered in Woodstock, New York, for the legendary Aquarian Exposition: 3 Days of Peace and Music. Over the course of three unforgettable days, artists including Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Joan Baez, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Santana, and The Who gave voice to a generation and shaped the cultural landscape of the era.
With their acclaimed “Story Concert” format, Back to the Garden brings Woodstock to life through meticulous, note-for-note recreations, enriched by evocative storytelling and archival imagery that capture the spirit and significance of the festival.
The program also includes a bonus section dedicated to Monterey ’67, the groundbreaking festival that helped spark the “Summer of Love,” with music from Simon and Garfunkel, The Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, Ravi Shankar, Jimi Hendrix, and the Grateful Dead—offering a broader glimpse into the sounds that defined the 1960s.

A sextet of stars and pianist of New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players perform The Pirates of Penzance in one act, with all of the famous numbers by all your favorite characters – dressed to the nines in pirate and Victorian splendor. Set sail with this classic comedy that boasts one of the most famous patter songs in musical theatre history. On the coast of Cornwall, a band of tenderhearted pirates celebrates the coming of age of Frederic, who was mistakenly apprenticed to the pirates until his 21st birthday. Now, Frederic has vowed to devote his life to the extermination of piracy — until a ludicrous leap year snag threatens to keep him apprenticed to the pirates for life! Throw in a brash Pirate King and the delightfully stuffy Major-General Stanley and you’ve got what The New York Times calls “AN ENDEARING PRODUCTION WITH HIGH MUSICAL STANDARDS AND SPIRITED PERFORMANCES.”

With soaring harmonies, expressive violin, and rich acoustic textures, Telephone Tag, comprised of the husband and wife duo Ryan Jacob Doyle (Vocals/ Guitar) and Lena Doyle (Violin/Vocals), creates a warm and immersive blend of contemporary folkpop that is both intimate and emotionally resonant. Their music weaves together heartfelt lyrics, lush violin lines, and driving guitar rhythms, creating songs that feel cinematic yet deeply personal.
Fresh off a major UK tour opening for ’80s pop icons Johnny Hates Jazz (of “Shattered Dreams” fame), the couple continues to build an international following. Ryan’s career highlights include opening for Paul McCartney in London’s Hyde Park, while both artists have performed across the globe—from Dubai to stages throughout Europe and the U.S.
Their recent EP and new singles showcase a sound that balances modern indie-folk with melodic pop sensibilities—music that invites audiences to lean in and truly listen. Keyboard virtuoso Joel Gaines delivers a soulful blend of contemporary jazz, R&B, and world-influenced grooves that is both sophisticated and irresistibly melodic. With a warm, expressive voice and dazzling piano work, Gaines creates music that flows effortlessly from smooth jazz to rhythm-driven funk and heartfelt ballads.
His sound draws on the spirit of artists like George Benson, Al Jarreau, and Bobby McFerrin—music that is as musically rich as it is deeply engaging. Whether soaring through intricate keyboard runs or settling into a laid-back groove, Gaines crafts melodies that linger long after the final note.
A longtime collaborator with many of the greats of jazz and soul, Gaines brings the depth of those musical traditions into his own original music, including selections from his acclaimed release Just the Way I’m Feeling.

Started as a “fun” project for three members of acclaimed Celtic Rock band, The Fenians, at the end of the Covid lockdowns, Meself, Himself, & Herself is now making its own way in the Irish/Celtic Music scene.
With a more traditional, stripped-down approach, MHH gets to the heart and soul of the music. Led by Seanachie (the Irish word for storyteller) Terry Casey, the band revels in the stories behind the songs. Rob Williams provides the solid foundation on the bass guitar and Crystal Santana lifts the spirits with her soaring traditional melodies on the fiddle. With all three members providing vocals, the group puts out a sound that belies their small size.
With two tours of Ireland under their belt and dates across the western US, Meself, Himself, & Herself’s combined performance experience of over 100 years regales audiences both young and old alike. The repertoire of traditional Irish and Scottish songs, sea shanteys, Americana, and original material makes for highly diverse and entertaining evening for all.

LOS CANCIONEROS MASTER CHORALE began in 1949 when a dozen neighbors in the Hollywood Riviera section of Torrance formed a small community chorus as an independent, nonprofit organization. More than seventy-five years and a dozen directors later, the award winning Los Cancioneros Master Chorale continues to bring excellent choral music to the South Bay community. They have appeared with other area choirs, instrumental groups and orchestras, and have also performed in numerous domestic and international venues

As a nonprofit arts organization, we work hard to balance artistic excellence with affordability—keeping ticket prices as reasonable as possible without compromising the caliber of the performances and experiences we offer. Through the support of our patrons, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, TOCA continues to provide exceptional cultural experiences that make the arts welcoming and attainable for everyone.
BE A SEASON SUBSCRIBER. Buy tickets to three or more shows and save 10% and automatically qualify as a Season Subscriber. Only Subscribers receive: First choice of reserved seating; Ticket exchange privileges (Exchanges must be made within 7 days prior to or after the designated performance date, for shows in the current season); Advance notice of special offers and programs.

The box office now offers an electronic ticketing option in addition to mailed and will call tickets. You can print them at home or download them to your device. All tickets now have barcodes that will be scanned for entry to all performances.

BOX OFFICE FEES
All purchased tickets will incur a $2.50 ticketing fee per ticket (prices in the order form are inclusive of this fee). Credit card transactions are charged an additional 2.19% to cover processing fees in person, by phone and mail. If you’d like your tickets mailed to you, a $1 postage fee will be charged.
GROUP SALES. Entertain business clients, celebrate a birthday or enjoy an informal night out. Groups of 10 or more receive discounts of up to 20% off ticket prices. Contact the ticket office at (310) 781-7171 or info@TorranceArts.org.

SUPPORT THE ARTS WITH YOUR TIME. The Torrance Cultural Arts Foundation is always looking for volunteers. Opportunities in concessions, marketing and other areas are available. For more information, please contact the Foundation office at (310) 378-8100 or info@TorranceArts.org.
EXCHANGE/REFUNDS. All ticket sales are final. No refunds unless a performance is canceled and not replaced or rescheduled. Exchanges available only to Season Subscribers. Tickets must be exchanged no less than seven days before or after the performance date, for the same number of tickets of equal or lesser value in the current season. The subscriber pays the difference if the new ticket price is greater than the originally purchased ticket.
TAX-DEDUCTIBLE
TICKET DONATIONS.
If you can’t attend a performance, donate your tickets to the Torrance Cultural Arts Center Foundation as a tax-deductible contribution. Tickets must be returned to the theatre ticket office two hours in advance of the performance. Call (310) 378-8100 for details.
TICKETS FOR CHILDREN. All patrons, including infants on laps, must have tickets to be seated. With the exception of the Family Friendly performances, shows are not recommended for children under age ten.
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS. The Arts Center staff makes every effort to accommodate patrons with special needs.
Limited wheelchair seating is available in a variety of locations in both the Armstrong and Nakano Theatres. Please indicate any special needs on the order form or indicate when calling the box office.

502-seat proscenium theatre with plush seating and superior acoustics. Permanent handrails throughout the perimeter of the Theatre House and six wheelchair spaces in various locations for truly accessible seating. Always plenty of FREE parking. Lobby opens one hour prior to each performance with a fully stocked concessions stand.
THEATRE STAGE
George Nakano Theatre
A versatile “black box” theatre that is transformed into an intimate cabaret setting with cocktail tables seating up to four. Tables can be reserved for an additional charge otherwise seating is first come first seated. For information on reserved tables, please email info@TorranceArts.org or call (310) 378-8100. Seating may vary based on the size of the performing group.
